WHEREAS, there are now two State Parks, each with an historic background, (a third;'
one contemplated) within a few short miles distant from the City of Port To\~send, ther~fore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson County, Washington,
and we, the members thereof each and severally, do hereby commend to the said Washingtop
State Arts Commission for consideration, the selection of one of the State Parks ':
neighboring the City of Port Townsend as one whereat there may be established a facility
to provide for the growth and development of the arts, as contemplated by statute, and Ii

That within budgetary limitations this Board of County Commissioners does hereby"
declare its intention to aid and assist financially in the furtherance thereof, shQuld the
choice of the Commission be in the Port Townsend area of Jefferson County.
