Monday, December 5, 1966.
The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session
with all members present.
Mr. Frank Symonds, Roy Bergstrom and Robert L. Ammeter appeared, and discussed
the Lake Leland Park, in behalf of the Sportsmen's Association.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read. Mr. Bill
Busch appeared for Washington State Parks Recreation Commission, in regard to Ocean
Beaches from Moclips to Port Angeles. A study is being made to construct campsites,
comfort stations, etc., to accommodate tae publiu, and plana for the control of their
use.
Mr. John Simpson and Mr. Gael Stuart appeared before the Board outlining the,
activities of the Community Action Council. ,if
Mrs. Leonard McDaniel appeared as Secretary of the Jefferson County Fire' Proteetiop
Diatrict No.1, with a petition signed by more than 60% of the registered voters of :'
Sees. 2,3,4,9,10, and NE! of Sec. 15, Ty/p. 28 N., R 1 W. W. M., requesting their I:
annexation 1'0 the said Fire District. Upon motion of George Huntingford, seconded by"
Lyall Arey, the petition is aoproved and the area will be annexed to the District by
RA301ution.
Mt'. Leif A. Larsen, representing Jef'ferson County Fire Protection District No.2,
appoared with a petition signed by more than 60% of the registered voters of Sees. 16,
17,20,21,28,29,31,32, and 33, Twp. 28 N., R 1 W. W. M., renuesting annexation to
Joffor'sonCoun ty Fire Protection District No.2. Upon motion of George Huntingford,
~econded by Lyall Arey, the petition is approved and the area will be annexed to the
Distrtct by ResoJution.
Mr. Ne t 1 Pendley appeared, representing the Teamsters' Union, a11d discussed
salarieD for County Road workers.
An application for E li~uor license was approved for JohnAl~in Brown, d/b/a.
Discovery Bay Market, R2, Port Townsend.
A notice was received from the State Liquor Control Board stating that Roy Wm.
Hudson has discontinued licensed operations at Fran ',s Kitchen, Gardiner.
A letter was received fromSchoo1 District No. 46 expressing appreciation for the
allotment granted to them from the Federal Forest Funds-.
