Monday, January 16, 1967
The Honorable Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with all
members present.
Preliminary hearing held on'Martin Scheckert's unnamed platt (66 lots) located on
the Coyle Peninsula. When questioned on water sources and supply and septic tank
draingge, Mr. Scheckert stated that there are two water supplies available to the plat,_
which he would deed along with undivided l/66th interest in the waterfrontage to be
incorporated in the deed for each lot. It would be up to the individual owners to
develop this water supply. He felt a water system would cost him at least $20,000.00
and would hinder his inteI.1tions' oflceeping the sales price of his lots wi thin the
$1,~00.00 range. Contamination of the water by septic tanks would be nil as he felt
his water sources were lying below a layer of hard pan which the drainage would not
penetrate. Mr. Kelly felt an on-site investigation by the Commissioners and the
Engineer was in order. Mr. Becker would be available to accompany the Commissioners
this afternoon. Mr. Arey moved and Mr. Kelly seconded that owner be given approval
provided water is available. Mr. Scheckert will meet them on Coyle Road at 2 p.m.
Contract-invoice was presented by Mr. Becker from Rayonier for approximat~ly
l,OOO cubic yards of rock (rip rap) used on Dowans Creek, Bogacheil River for ~100.00.
Board approved.
