Temple, County Auditor and Ex-officio Clerk of the Board. and CALL FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, Sjata of Washington, will receive sealed bids up to the hour of ll:OO am Monday, February 20, 1967l at the office of the County AuditOr, Port Townsend, Washing- ton, to be opened and pub icly read at a meeting of the County Commissioners to be held on that date for the improvement of 0.549 miles of the Port Ludlow-Paradise Road, County Road No.6, by grading and other work as set forth in the plans and specifications or as directed by the Engineer including the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the ~onstruction of this improvement. Major items of work will be: 44,250,cubic yards of Railroad Excavation, Area "A", 10,7aO cubic yards cfRoadwa)l Excavation, Jl.rea "B", 2 7aO Units of Haul, 4,300 cubic yards of Gravel Base, Class "B" and 455 lineal feet of 18" Reinforced Concrete Culvert Pipe. ' Each bid shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents now on file with the County Engineerlt Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, where copies may be obtained by depositing $5.00 for each set. Deposit will be refunded if plans are ret~rned within ten (10) days after'bid opening. Each bid shall be accompanied by cash, certified check or bid bond payable to the Treasurer of Jefferson County in the sum of 5% of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited to the County of Jefferson by the successful bidder if he fails to enter into contract and file an acceptable Surety Bond in the sum of 100% of the contract price within twenty (20) days of the date of the award. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities in the bidding. Members of the Board proceeded to the Treasurer's office where cash was counted by Auditor and verified by the County Commissioners-$l,a51.05 cash with the cash on hand sum of $3,966.a3 verified to be correct, as of December 3l, 1966. Mr. Swanson, the Treasurer, gave the Board his report together with statement of receipts and dispursements of his office from October 1, 1966 to December 31, 1966 and a report of Detail of Securities (collateral) as of December 31, 1966. Mr. Arey brought up the matter of salaried personnel in the Engineer's office and Road crew. Men on hourly rate were given raise previously. Mr. Arey proposed Mr. Kelly seconded, and the motion was passed unamimously to give salaried personnel in the Engineer's office and the Road crew a flat raise of $25.00 per month.
