Mr. Becker reviewed the three low bids and reported all were in order. Motion'was
made by Lyall Arey, seconded by Walter Kelly to'accept'HilltopC6nstruction Company,
of l352l-84th Avenue NE, Kirkland, Wash., 98033, bid for $38,516.25 upon receipt 'of full
bid bond. Mr. Becker will so advise. '
Commissioners reviewed application for coun~y teal estate sale from Lester Hall for
'easterly 20 feet of lots 5-8, Block 50, California Addition to the City of Port Townsend'
Motion was made to approve application for sale br Walter Kelly, seconded by Ljall Arey
and unanimously passed~VTreae!Jrer will be so adv sed. Letter was received with a
( draw1n~ from Lester Hall requesting permission to slope and rip rap above mentioned
property at his own expense. He was joined in this request by Dr. N. ~. Nolan, who
owns the e~sterly ~ of Block 47 which is opposite Block 50. This will not only protect
the private property that is presently enda~gered by excessive erosion but will protect
the County' Park at North Beach. Permission was verbally granted and will be confirmed
in writing. The commissioners after further discussion, went to investigate the
possibility of additional erosion after last Saturday's storm and to see if furth~r steps
should be taken by County to protect County Park.
Mr. Seeker will contact Mr. Beame with Park Service in ~uilcene regarding plans
for Leland Park.

Meetin~ recessed for lunch.
Minutes of January meetings were read and approved.
A request was received by letter from Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company for
permit to place approximately 2,700 feet of buried telephone cable along easterly side
of County Road No. 10-5.68, near Port Ludlow. A drawing was presented with locations
marked in red. Name of 'relephone Company Field Engineer is O. Rask, Phone Bremerton
ES 3-9511, extension 243. Request'~as approved by 'Commissioners. Approval was signed
by Chairman George Huntingford. Mr. Becker took request letter, drawing and signed
approval which he will expedite with stipulation that road shoulder be replaced.
Commissioners adjourned to ~nspect storm damage at North.Beach Par~.
In reviewing schedule, Clerk was advised to write John R. Fletcher, Forks of
Commissioners forthcoming visit.'
Letter was received from Dr~ Harry E. Johnson, commending Commissioners on the
wonderful condition and maintainence of Seven Hill Road off Hastings. Public Notice
No. p-67-48 was read from the Department. of Army Engineers showing new restrictions in
the Dabob Bay wateX's to protect the pubHc against th~ increased water traffic hazar'ds.
Hearing date was set for March lO, 1967 at II a.m. for Bridgehaven, DiviRion 8,
preliminary plat hearing.
No'further business appearin~ the meeting was adjourned until the next regular
session, March 6, 1967.
