Honorable Board of County Commissioners met with all members present.
Bills were approved and signed with distribution as follows:

Apprbximately 20 citizens from Paradise Estates and Robert O. Yeasting, Assistant Vice-
President of William P. Harper & Son& Company (Financiers of Water District No. l) were
present in regard to Water District No.1. They understood there was a hearing scheduled
in regard to the resignation of all their commissioners. (Resignations had been
presented but withdrawn prior'to meeting) No hearing was scheduled. They were referred
to William J. Daly, CoutY,Prosecuting Attorney.
Mr. Becker reported on his investigation of County Road No. JOg. ~~. Becker submitted
his favorable findin~s in writing.. Commissioners will consider.
Les Findley and.Don Wilson 'of Harold-Cooper Corporation appeared and requested the
Co~i~sioners to inspect some equipment with them. No further business waitin~, the
Commissioners accompAnied the messrs, Findley and Wilson. Meeting will reconvene at
1 p.m.
, Meeting reconvened. Ed Becker presented his explainationof letter received from
John R. Meehan regarding what his felt was 'an unusually high road bed at the back of'
his property in Goodfellows Manhattan Beach Tracts to the Commissioners 'satisfaction.
Jane Campbell of the Welfare Department came before the Commissioners regarding a
request for assistance from the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Fund by Bobby Halvorsen.
Explaining the reason she felt it was a deserving'request. Request waS approved by
Chairman Huntingfcrd and Commissioner Arey. (~~. Becker and ~tt. Kelly went to Seattle
this afternoon on County Business). '
Bridgehaven hearing was not held as principals did not appear.
Meeting was adjourned until March 20th, 1967.

The Honorable Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with all members
present.
Hearing continued on Discovery Bay, Bay Street vacation request. Petition was
presented by attorney Calmar McCune against vacation with 4'i signatures. In Mr.
McCunes presentation, he presented a snapshot of the old grange store and warehouse
and dock area which indicated that the road was used for commercial purposes. He
snoke in behalf of Howard Reid and Lawrence Purviance. Felt Mr. G~nstone had personal
reasons as welm as business reasons involved in closing road. Mr. Gunstone stated he
BDd Mr. Margraaf had both offered individually to lease access easements across thei,r
land. Road goes through both their front yards, they ~re tired of picking up bear
bottles and debri.s on their property. Mr. Kelly moved and Mr. Arey seconded the
motion that road vacation be denied due to lack of propAr number of signaturos as
required by law. (ten property owners signatures required by law.) It, was unanimously
agreed to deny the petition. Mr. Huntingford asked Howard Reid how he would feel
about haviM a public road lAad to his private tidelands. Mr. Reid stated he would
not like it.
Mr. Stocks of Discovery Bay offered the County a 60 foot road on his property from
the main road down to the water with the contingency that the county will begin
construction within 30 days and complete the road within 90 davs. Mr. Becker, Countv
Engineer will investigate and report to commissioners.
Phil Copps, puget POWC:l1" Manager, appeared in regard to petition for electricity
to service 17 properties in Government Lot s l, 2 , 13, 14; 15, and J.6 of Olson and
Hambliton Addition of Section 9, Township 29, Range 1 East,' Marrowatona Ieland. Mr.
Copps stated that power had been blocked because Mr. Turner, a property owner; will
not grant Puget Power an easement accross their property. Four easelllents have been
p~esonted to Mr. Turner - the last written to Mr. Turner's terms. Two checka were
drawn to Mr. 'l'urner (dated early summer 1966) but were rAfused after as,Element drawn and
presented. Puget Power has right of oondemnation but it 1s not their policy to
excercise that right. Mr. Coppa stated negotiations have been in prooess for 2 ~
years. Mr. Huntingford will oheck into the situation personally to see if the
Commissioners can assist in any way.
Mrs. George Hubbard and Mrs. Harry Hubbard from Shine inquired about how m&ny foet

Mrs. Harry Hubbard is boing sold. With Park line established and new survey on 'the .
other side of her resetting linea - sho fools hor tidelands arc off approximately 20
feet.
Mr. Poole of Poole & Associates appoared with Bert M. Baron, Local Affairs Division
of Department of Commerce and Economic Development in rogard to ext,reme shol~tages in
Foderal Funds. $3,400.00 in exp~nB& have b~en accumulated to dqte. Mr. Baron said
