Mitton, Radio Engineer for the Department of Natural Resources' and Commissioners 0' the Jefferson County P. U. D. in regard to installation of electrical and power to Mt. Octopus. Department of Natural Resources will absorb clearing 'costs i' for installing line. Department of Institutions, Jefferson County, Telephone Company, !! Jefferson County P. U. D. and possibly the State of Washington, Department of Highways would split the remaining costs. It was agreed Jefferson County and Oefferson County Publi c Utility m.ll parti cipate !: as one unit. D-9 I 'l'he following Resolution was approved and signed;. WHEREAS, the Department of Highways of the State of Washington, acting as Agent of ii for the Bureau of Publi c Roads of the Dep'artrnent of Commerce of the United States of :' America, is desirous of constructing a Federal Aid Project No. S-0497(3) in Jefferson Ii County, over and across ;1 :! and Ii " i: and :1 " Ii WHEREAS, the Department of Highways of the State of Washington, acting as Agent for :1 the United States Bureau of PubUc Reads, is desirous of receiving Federal funds for the ii improvement of said road, and II WHEREAS, the said Bureau of Public Roads of the Department of Commerce of the United II States of America will not participate in the consyruction of said road until and unless if the County of Jefferson will agree to refrain from permitting encroachment upon the !f right of way of said above-mentioned road, and until and unless the County of Jefferson ii will agree to refrain from passing resolutions affecting the free flow of traffic on " i' said above-mentioned road or that vr.i.ll give preference to local routes which intersect :: ,i with said road, other than by the erection or installation of "slow" and/or "caution" sig~s .i or signals, or that will unreasonably hinder or delay tra~tic on said above-mentioned roa~, i! and until and uhless the County of Jefferson will agree,/stiitablJl resolution, to adopt !: Ii the gra des of the improvement as the grades of the count.y road that is involved, and !i [ agree to protect the State of Washington against any and all claims for damages on accoun~ :, of any changes of grades and the construction of this improverpent, and until and unless i! ii the County of Jefferson will agree to maintain said improvement within the limits of the ~l 'Ii County of Jeffersron after the improvement has been completed; 'I I II .1 ii ' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners ciI.
