The meeting was called to order by the Chainnan George Huntingford'with all
members of the Board of County Commissioners present.
Budget discussion came before the Board. The insurance for employees was dis-
cussed in relation to employee benefits. Auditor's office is 'taking poll of the
County offices to see how employees f.el about employee insurance benefits. Deputy
Auditor Virginia Hansen reported that the Courthouse employees voted against employee
insurance on a 5 to 1 ratio. Lyall Arey moved and Walter Kelly seconded motion to give
county employees a flat -ili20.00 (twenty dollars) a month raise. It was unanimously
passed. After carefully reviewing each and every budget submitted, the Board of
County Commissiorters accepted the revised budgets as followsI in accordance with the
provisions of the law, and due notice h.ving been published n the Port Towns.nd Leader
that on the first Monday in Uctober. 19b7, the Board of Jeffertlon County Commissioners
would meet for the purpose above stated, and aftar hearing from the various organizations
representing tax payersl and having heard all matters in connection with the budgets,
it was ordered the tax evies be set as follows and the following budgets approved upon
motion made by Lyall Arey, seconded by Walter Kelly, and unanimously approved and the
Resolution adopting same signed by the Members of the Boarda
The Current Expense Fund Budget in tha amount of $Jl2,S05.00i the Final County
Road Fund Budget in the amount of ~7461339.00j and the Equipment Rental and Revolving
Fund Budget in the amount of $212,OOO.UO were approved as attached:
