The regular meeting of the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners was
, called to order by Chairman George Huntingford with Lyall Aray, Commissioner Dist. 1
and Walter A. Kelly, Commissioner of Diet. 3 present. (Mr. Huntingford is Commissioner
Dist. 2)

Tax levies' distribution for 1968 was again reviewed by the Commissioners,
oid Call was set for II a.m., ~ovember 6th, 1967 by the Commissioners for a
Cab-Ghusis Truck as follows:
CALL FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids ....'ill be recilived up until the hour of 11
a.m., p~nday, ~ovember 6, 1967, at the office of the County Auditor, Courthouse, Port
Townsend, Washington, and then publically opened and read for furnishing the Jefferson
County Highway Department with one Cab-Chasis Truck of the following minimum specifica-
tions:
1. The unit shall be a 1960 model Kenworth equipped with an aluminum frame and
full ur.iglass tilt hood assembly.
2. The wheelbase shall be a 216 inches, cab to axle centerline to be 129 inches.
3. The engine is to be an NHB 262 Cummins Turbo engine of 262 horsepov/er equipped:
wi th a J aco bs engine brake. '!

4. ~~in transmission to be spicer model B051-A, 5 speed with iron case.
transmission is to be a 4-speed Brown Lipe model 8341-A.

5. The rear axels shall be tandem drive SQDD Timken double reduction with a gear.
ratio of 7.54~1 and capacity of 313,000 Ibs. with rubber mounted suspension. ii
6. Ten wheels with 10:00 x 22 x 10 p.r. tires to be furnished.
7. The unit is to be equipp~d for low-boy tractor-trailer service including air
light pogo stick, 80 gal. fuel tank and fifth lllheel trailer connection.
B. Uther extras to include pyrometer, Bostrom seat, safety brake on one axel,
BB tackometer and cab lights.
9. Paint is to be Omaha Uranga and white.
10. The unit bid shall be F. O. B. Chimacum, Washington.
11. The Board of Jefferson County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any
or all bids and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the County.
