Commissioners adjourned for lunch recess.
1:)0 p.m. Mr. Neil Pendley, representing Teamster Local No. 589/ .appeared in'regard
to the County Highway employees' new Union contract. After timely dlScu~sion it was !
moved by !-Ir. Kelly that the mechanic who is on monthly salary be raised 5~ and the ,
men who are on hourly rates be given a l5~ per hour raise and leave the fringe benefits :;
as they presently are. Mr. Arey seconded and the mot~on was unanimously passed.
Mr. Kelly briefly reported on Mr. Arey, Mr. Becker and his trip to the west-end to
investigate V~s. Fletcher's complaint on traffic (hunters) not being allowed to trespass
on a county road. It was determined that the road is to be open for traffic~ and use
by hunters as long as they did not abuse the hunting regulations in restricted areas.
Maple Creek road and ~thers were taken under consideration for future road projects.
Application received Per E-F License from State Liquor Board was received for Conley
Duelane Rodgers, Hoh River Resort, Star R6ute 1, Box 397, Forks, Wa., 98331.

IT IS HEP~BY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMM[SSIONERS that it is its intention
to reconstruct .6 mile of County Road No. 70 by grading,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT for the foregoing proper county road purpose there is
hereby appropriated sums in the follo~~ng detail:

The county road purpose herein described is HEREBY DECLARED to be a public necessity and
the County Road ENGINEER is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED TO report and proceed thereon
