problems, relating to air pollution, can be:conducted and the ultimate
development of more comprehensive performance standarda and ,:egulatory

exte.nsive with the boundaries of Clallam, Gr.aya Harbor, Jefferson, Mason,
Pacific, and Thurston Counties and includ,~ aspai,ticipating communities

IT IS RESOLVED THAT Jeffers2ll County agrees' together with tre
other counties participating in the Air Pollution Control Authority
as follows:
1. The name of the authority shall be the Olympic Air Pollution
Control Authority.
2. The principle office and place of business of the Authority
sha.ll be the Thurston County Court House, -:';:"'ympia, Has. >.;:;t:on.
3. That the Air Pollution Cont:..~nl Authority shall begin to transact
business and establish programs and exercise its powers on January 2, 1968.
It shall continue in active operation for su.;h period of time as the Board
of Directors of the Olympic Air follution Control Authority may find
necessary to conduct research end studies and effectuate. controls with
respect to air pollution.
4. The geographic are.:l of the Olympic Air Pollu.tion Control Auth-
ority shall include l'.nd be co.e.xtcnsivt~ with the. bounclar;!....o of Clallam,
Grays lmrbor. Jefferson, Mason, ?acjxic. and Thurston Counties to the. end
that aLL of the area within the ~forementioned counties shall be a part of
a participating jurisdiction of the Air Pollution Control Authority.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a ce.rtified copy of this resolution shall
be forthwith filed with the Secretary of the State of Washington, with. tho
County Auditor, and the County Tre.aflllrer, and with each of the partici-
pating cities, towns, or agencies..
