Any person knowingly swearing falsely to any statement of any material
matter in such affida.vit ahall, upon conviction thereof, in addition to any penalty
imposed by the la.w of the State of ,liilshington be fined not less than one hundred
nor more than five hundl'ec\ dollars,
SECTION X
The Treasurer shall retain and file the original of such a.ffidavit and
shall furnish one copy to the county assessor.
SECTION XI
Failure to furnish Buch affida.vit to the treasurer within thirty days after
sale 6hall be a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, the tJeller shall be
fined not lesD than ten nor more than fifty dollars.

The tax in1posed hereunder shall become due and paya.ble immediately
at the time of sale and, if not so paid within thirty days thereafter, shall bear
interest at the ra.te of one p'~rcent per month from date of sale.
SECTION XIV
I
The proceeds of the tax imposed hereunder ahall be credited to the
county school fund monthly and shall be used exclusively for the support of
the common Ilehools; PROVIDED: that one percent of the proceeds of this tax,
or whatever maximl'''; authorized in RCW ZS.45, shall be credited to the
County Current Expense F'.md, out of which all cost and expense of administer-
ing this ordina.nce, including cost of printing stamps .~nd forma of affidavits
and receipts arid. other forms which may be necessary. shall be paid.

SECTION XV
If, upon written applica.tion by a taxpayer to the treasurer for a refund
hereunder, or upon examination of the recordll by the treasurer without such
applict'..tion, it appoars that within one year pJ~cceding such application or exa.m-
inatl.on a tax haa been hereunder in excess of the amount actually due or upon a
sale or other transfer herein declared to be exempt from tnx hen"eunder, such
e:l!ceu l\lnol1nt or impropel' payment shall'be refunded by the treasurer to the
t.nxpayer. No refund shall be mo.de with recpcc;t to IlIny payment more than one
( 1) year before the date of application or examination.
SECTION XVI
This ordinance is deemed severable, and any declarat:\ou by a.ny court
that any 8~ction or sections I 01' portions thereof, are invalid shall have no
B!leet orl the remaindel' of this ordinance.
