10:00 a.m. franchise haarin: on Bonneville Power Administration line - Shelton, I,
Fairmount area - there being no ob ection~ to the powerline, the Commissioners unan~mously
approved the franchise a3 presenta . '
A. C. Grady ~epeared before the Board in behalf of the Port Townsend Chamber of
Commerce to join witn them in petitioning the Board of Georgraphic names to chamge the
name of Middle Point to J~es G. McCu~dy Point. Lyall Arey moved, Walter A. Kelly
seconded motion to unanim~usly go on record 1n favor of the name change.

Resolution to improve by bank
protection
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is its
intention to protest the Clearwater Road from washout by flooding by construction of
approximately 1300 feet of rock rip-rap bank protection on the clearwater River in
cooperation with the U. S. Army Engineers.
ii BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT for the foregoing proper county road purpose there

The county road purpose herein described is HEREBY DECLARED to be a public necessity
and the County Road Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED TO repor~ and proveed thereon
as by law provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this purpose be performed by Contract in accordance with
the Standard Road and Bridge Specifi cations of the S'cate of Washington as adopted by this
Board.

W. J. Daly, prosecuting Attorney appeared in regard to emergencJ Resolution No.
17-68 reg...rding Courtho'auo repair'. He ~'ecommended a bond issue would be the Dest route
in handling the ropairs. Pro and con to a bond issue was discussed. Lyall Arey moved,
Waltor Kelly ~oc0nded motion that the emergency repairs be paid out of maintenance fund
600e) of the Courthotl13S budget and be repairod from Commissione,ra Bond issue to cover
courthouse repair from proposed emergency resolution no. l7-6~.
