Chester Hicks a.ppe~red reg&rding hi. claim againat the oounty for the.sum of $200.00 for damag$ euftered to crops in Shine aroa, at a point approximately one mile south of State Highway on Shine Road, due to weed killing agent that wae eprayed by county road crew. ano1nQ~r Becker will invQltigate the premises later today (2p.m. appointment) and repoet back to commie~ionQr.. Alexander, 2626 So. l44th Street, Seattle, 98168, appeared regarding Trails and proparty alnd inquired ~s to what action coufld the County take in regarding to preserving tidelands in ~~ont of Trails Bnd property under the Riparian Rights. He was advised that the tidelands were privately owned but the matter would be referred to the prosecuting Attorney f.or detarmination. Mr. Ruttor app~&red regarding his Irondale propsrty. Bngineer Beckor advised him thatroad would be opened to his property. After reviewing lease ~or the Washington State Department of Public Assistance facilities in the County Courthouse, Commissioner Kelly moved and Commissioner Arey seconded motion to renew lease at the existing r.ental ag~eement for $150.00 per month. Harry Pollard, Treasurer of the Jefferson County Fair Board, appeared regarding the Fair's 1969 budget and requesting loan to Fair Revolving Fund. This is a temporary loan to be repaid from the State Grant monies that will be available early in '69. Commissioner Kelly moved and Commissioner Arey Seconded motion to approve Resolutioa 23-68 as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 23-68 IT APPEARS TO THE BOARD OF JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that the Jefferson County Fair Revolving Fund does not have sufficient cash on hand to pay &11 the expenses (premiums) of the Fair until their allocation from the State Fair Fund is received, and BE IT RESOLVED under authority vested by RCW 36.37.040, the County Treasurer is empowered to transfer funds from the Current Expense Fund of the County to the Jefferspn, County Fair Revolving Fund, and IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the County Treas~rer transfer $5,000.00 to the County Fair Revolving Fund and when the allocation from the State Fair Fund is received, the Treasurer shall first deduct from such remittance the money heretofore transfered in the said sum of $5,000.00, and credit the s&me to the CURRENT EXPENSE ~~.
