Tne Honorable Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with all
members prGsen't.

Mr. Becker reviewed Union proposals for Road Crew wages with the commissioners.
Mr. Pendly will meet with them at a later date to finalize.
Doris Coates appeared to say 'hello' and give the Commissioners tpe pay scale
for the community action council for their review.
Clerk requested Commissioners direction on expediting deed to the City of Port
Townsend on downtown lots. Bill Daly will write resolution to expedite the execution
of' the Deed.
Mr. Daly recommended the Commissioners again consider the Bond issue for overall
Courthouse repair. In view of the urgent need of facilities in the west end, it was
considered with one bond issue to cover the West-end facilities and the courthouse
repair.
Commissioners retired for lundh.

Resolution No. 26-68 was read and approved by motion of Lyall Arey and second of
Walter Kelly for Emergency hearing on appropriation of additional $9,545.24 to be
held on September 23, 1968, at a special meeting of the Board of county commissioners
for that purpose. Hearing time 10:00 am.
RESOLUTION NO 26-68

WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners
for Jefferson County, State of Washington, that the amount of money, to-wit: the sum
of $10,000.00, appropriated by Resolution No. 17-68 adopted by this Board on June 7,
1968, and approved as an emergency by order dated July 1st, 1968, and from which order
no tax payer has sought review in the Superior Court of the State of Washington for
Jefferson County, is insufficient to carry the costs of labor and materials for the
preservation and repair of the WalkBr Street side of the Jefferson County Courthouse,
and

WHEREAS it now appears that the sum of $9,545.24 is a sum sufficient to meet the
entire sum of such preservation and repair, and
WHEREAS, it further appears that an emergency continues to exist requiring the
exp~nditure of additional fundo for the purpose, which could not have b~9n reason-
ably forseen by this Board of County Commissioners at the time of making its budget
for thg Current ExpGnso Fund for the year, 1968, nor could it have belan reasonably
foreseen at the time of adoption of Resolution No, 17-68 aforesaid,
Now therefoX'0, BE IT RESOLVED niAT mE aforementioned fact consH tutes an
eMergency and the estimated amount .of funds to meet this emergency is $9,545.24, and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of a public hearing upon such expenditure of
$9,545,24 shall be given, ~a!d hearing to be held Monday, the 23rd day of Septamber,
1966, E.\t tho hour of ten o'clock in the torelloon of said day in tho commissioners' Room
in the Jotter~on County Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington.
