The first business before the Board was the appointments of the new members to the county planning commissions. Appointments were made as follows: Jesse Allen, Brinnon to the unexpired term of Julian Qen Joe Dunlap, Hadlock, to the unexpired term of Duane Clocksin Pred Lester, Port Townsend, to the unexpired term of Phil copps It was moved and seconded that Lonnie McGrew and Kenneth Johnson be appointed as Ex-off.icio members to the County Planning Commission. Bob Johnson, Mental Health Director ap~aa~ed with a list o~ committee members ~nich he will forward to us. when h~ has the list completed. Bid opening for four dump trucks: Buhler Motors 29,421.49 ** Alternate 28,216.04 Kruse Car Center 33,695.00 Alternate 32,800.00 sandar 30.269.79 Arey moved that bids be turned over to Engineer Becker for review. Dave curdie came before the Commissioners regarding his drainage problem on Marrowstone Island property. Mr. Curdie suggested a closed ditch in lieu of open ditch approximately 3 feet deep. Engineer Becker suggested the Commissioners go over review Mr. curdles problem and Engihaer's solution with all in attendance. i~is has been a long standing problem (15 ye~rs) which has been magnified by the :increase in development in the area. Gordon Hunttand Myron Reed of Hadlock appeared requesting four-way stop sign at Hadlock intersection plus additional lighting. Mr. Reed reported that he took a traffic count for 8 days with average of 1960 vehicles a day. Both Mr. Hunt and Mr. Reed felt this busy rural intersection should have additional safety factors and the four-way stop would be a good step. Motion made by Arey, seconded by Kelly to call for bids on sloper....Road-King, Grade-Mor, or equal. Mr. Becker will prepare the bid call.
