Bnginest Becker recommended bid for four (4) dump trucks be awarded to Buhler
Motors on regular bid ~or: $29,421.49. J. H. "Jim" Olson, Transport Equipment
company, requested rQview and reconsideration of ,the alternate low bid of Buhlec's.
Engineer Beeker explained his reasons for not feeling the alternate bid was 6cceptable
as an aquivelent bid. Commissioner Arey moved and Commissioner Kelly seconded tho
motion to ~ccept the bid recommended by Engineer Secker, as they felt it was the best
bid for ~he county.
Resolution No. 30-68 was approved as ~ollows:

w~RBAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Soard of County Commissioners
that it is not in the public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the county
Road System:
That portion' of the Oak Bay Road, County Road No. 10, more
particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on
the west boundary of Area No. 2 of the plat of Port Ludlow
No. 1 thence; southeasterly to the old to~nsite of Port Ludlow
thence; southwesterly to a point l}'ing S7" 17; 19"E a distance of 55.57
feet from the southwest corner of Lot 23, Area 5, of the plat
of Port Ludlow No.1.

and in contemplation or the language of the statute, n. C. W. 36.87.010. the same is
uselessf now therefore,
BE IX RESOLVED, and this Board of Couty Commissioners does now declare its intention
to vacate and abandon said road, and be it
FURl~R RESOLVED, and the Co~nty Road Engineer is hereby directed to examine and report
upon said road in accordance with R. C. W. 36.81.040, Engineer's report.
