WHBRBAS on Juno 11, 1968, upon the petition o~ sunc1ry electors, the Board of County
commissIoners o~ Je~fermon County, Washington, held a public hearing thereon, to-wit:
on the qaestion at the formation of a ~ire protection district to be known as Je~~erson
County Fire Protection District NO.4, mo:re particularly described as follows:
Sections 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20,
21, 22, 23,' 28, 29, 30, 31, and 32 in TOWDShip 25 North,
Range 2, West, west Meridian; Secitons.28, 29, 30, 33, 34,
and 35 in Township 26 North, Range 2 West, West Meridian; Sections
23 and 24 in Township 26 North, Range 3 West, west Meridian;
and striking a line o~~ shore ~rom Socti~n 35, Township 26
North, Range 2 west, west Meridian, in Hood Can_l south to
the Mason County line, all lying and being in Je~~erson County,
comprising a portion of the voting precinct of Brinnon, and proof having been made to
the sa1:isi'action o~ this Board that notice was g.l.ven in the manner provided by laer, and no
Objections having been made or filed, the Board by Resolution No. 2l-68A ordered a
special election to ba held on Tuesday, the 17th day of september, and due to lack o~
voter turn out in the September.election, along with the fear that using the voting
machine for the first time the fire district issue may have been overlooked by people,
another special election was ordered held on November 5, 1968, due to the request of
the volurlteer fire department, to determine whether the district shall be organized,
and,
WHEREAS, after an election called for the purpose in pursuance to the terms of said
Resolu'tion, the County Auditar for Jefferson County under date c4 November 18, 1968,
made ~nd returned to this Board her.canvas of the vote cast at such election, all which
being nON on file with this Board is hereby referred to and by reference made a part of
this reSOlution, therafore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the area hereinbefore described be and the same is hereby declared
duly organized as a fire protection district; that the same is officially designated as
JEFFERSON COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO.' 4, and that Harry Loring, Louis pennini,
and.Ri~~ard weiler, having received the ~ighest number of votes cast for.fire
commissioners o~ said district, ba and they are hereby daclare<< the duly elacted xirst
c~umissioners of the district.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of this Board of County Commissioners shall
certi~y a copy of th1$ resolution and file it for record in the oxfice of the County
Auditor and the Couty Assessor_

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is its intention to
improve one (1) mile of County Road No. 16 by reballasting and draining.
