I Jefferson County Commissioners Port Townsend, Washington, Letter was read from Nordland Community Club,as follows: Nordland, Washington February 27, 1969 Gentlemen: I To review tUe situation, citizens of this community have represented themselves to you over the past three years for the purpose of proceeding toward certain road improvements. The last of these was the attendance by our Road Committee at your meeting o~ July 5, 1968, where our letter dated July 3 on the subject was presented to you. TUe singular lace of response to these efforts is a matter of rather serious concern to this community Club and to many individual residents, particularly in view of the increasingly heav3l' summer traffic we may expect. ' We should appreciate very much to know what your intentions are and of course we hope your action will be fav~rable. Members of the Road Committee will be present at your next meeting and will be able to answer any questions you may have. ) For your convenience, the problem areas identified in our letter of July 3, 1968 are outlined agaim as follows: 1. Restricted width and very bad visibility on intersection approaches at the intersection of East Marrowstbne Road and Bast Beach Road. Suggested solution to this problem is to: a. Move power pelle at S. \II. Corner of intersection b. Widen north 600' of Bast Marrowstone Road, and c. Reduce orado (cut down top of hill) on Bast Beach Road, and widen East Beach Road. , , . I 2. Dangerously narrow road trom Tracy property on Main road north to Fort Flagler Stale Park, a distanco of ~.6 miles. Suggested solution: Widen to provide adequate two-lane width. l-a above, moving of power pole by Puget Power wAs'dono early in Novombor last year. Again, your favorable action will be much appreciated by this oommunity. S:l,ncewy yours, (I 9/ J. E.
