Dr. Glen Deere, E. H. "BO" Adolphsen, arid Don M. Maimone, land Surveyor, appeared
before the Board in regard to Division 8, Bridgehaven plat. The Division was ready for
recording when their employee Heiber left. Deere and Adolphsen, owners of Bridg~haven,
said they went down 389 feet to hit water. the Health Department approved the s!4e.
GOod water, but the pipe broke when casing was being withdrawn. Another well is being
drilled 10 feet from the first hole. They would like to get permission to h~ve Division
8 with 31 lo*s approved at this time. Engineer Becker suggested that they get ;round
(surface) water permit from Dept. of Natural Resources.
Mrs. Florence MacDonald from Upper Hoh appeared to ask what is being done on the
bridges on Hoh, She said the road needs gravel. Mrs. MacDonald asked for attention to
their road. She was informed that the road is not a County road. Mrs. MacDonald said the
Stata wrote a letter offering 30 :feet toward road and Harold Brandebeer offered 30 feet.
Engineer Becker said Brandebeer offered 16 feet only toward roads in his unrecorded
plat which was not acceptable. jMr. Becker never heard of offer from the State or
from Mr. Brandebeer on the road.

Ed MCMinn appeared again regarding his signs being torn down. Engineer's depart-
ment was to put up sign and clerk to put piece in paper asking people not to dump on
McMinn's property. Huntingford again moved that piece be put in the paper to above
effect. MCMinn said his entrance road to property is chained. Engineer said they would
furnish sign but they wouldn't put it up.
Bridgehaven Division 10 changed name only to Division 9. The hearing was before
the Board. There being no objections voiced to the platting of the Division requested,
Huntingford moved and O'Meara seconded to approve Division 9 (formerly 10), it was so
approved.

Permit for buried cable along airport road was requested by Pacific Northwest
Bell Telephone Company. Huntingford moved and O'Meara seconded to grant permit, it
was approved.
New building permi:tdorm now in use in Auditor's office was reviewed.

Letter from Clarence 5. Howell, who owns property on the west shore of Marrowstone
island, inquired about contamination of water supplies, etc. from high density develop-
manto Asked advise on land use contxols in area. Letter was discussed, no determination.
Iuvitation to Assessors and Commissioners to attend state-wide meeting to discuss
implementation of Section 4 of Senate Bill 151, and to review procedural aspects of the
county board of equalization's functions and duties.
Engineer Becker presented drawings for North Heach Park shelter. 60mmissioners
gave approval.
Mrs, Clifford "Birdie" Bailey, Mr. HUX'lIdrth of Port Angeles, and Mr. Covin\lton
npp~ared regarding formation of a local housing authori~y board. Mr. Hurwirth, who
is the executive dir.ector of the Clallam COtlnty Housing Project, and Mr. Covington,
Chairman of the Housing Authority Bo~rd, explained the purpose of the housing
authority. The manager of the housing authoritl' has complete control On hiring. The
commissioners have power on Board appointments. Finances are not handled through the
treaaur0r's or Auditor's offices. Petitions to create a local housi~g authority are
bning circulated.
Washington State Assoc. of County Park/Reoreation Boards and Departments general
membership meeting is slated for June 18, 1969 at Yakima. '
