IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is it's intention to
construct. an 81 foot, .bridge over ,the Quilcene: River. ' ,. . ,.

and the County Road Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED TO report and proceed
thereon as by law provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that b~ls purpooe be performed by contract in accorance with the
Standard Road and Bridge Specification of the State of Washington as adopted by ,this
Board.

The Meeting was called to order by ChairMan Kelly with all meMbers present.
Ed Miller and Wa~ren Russell appeared regarding access road to Black Point (near
Brinnon). The road has bean eaaemcmt access road to property on poin,. Thet !GIlt, since -this
had been an easement for 20-25 years and it had been open to the public for that time it
should be declared a county road. The fir8t l/8th mile is the problem as owner will only
give easement. Referred to county prosecutor.
Engineers estimate ~or courthouse ~epair and prestressed concrete girders and
~ilcene River bridge were pr6sonied.
Bids were opened for the courthouse repair. Construction Specialties, Ino. $53,257.38,
pioneer Masonry Restoration Co, $48,461,88, and Pacitic Watorproofing and Restoration co.,
$43,461,88. Motion by Hunt!ngfDrd and seconded by O'Moar to have tho enginaor check tho
bid~ and report to commissioners as to proper inolusiveness. Bids will be awarded later
today on eatiefaotory outcome of bond bids.
Opening o~ oourthouso Bond bids was held. Bide given to Mr. John McCarthy of
Marshall & Meyor fur review and 11.'iQure choc:k.

~ord moved and O'Meara seconded motion for ~ngineer to review bids.
Mr. Daly appearod regarding Black Point 2rad near Brinnon. Ho advised the cOllUllis8io~:-
ere that tho eng~noer should inspect the road ;~nd rO&d repair or upkeep furnished by t~~
county. A~ter ~urnishing upkoep and repair for 7 years it becomes a county road. The JL
engineer should. report his' determination in writing to the commissionero :tor their acti~r"
