He recommended a $lO.oo fee. O'Meara was not in favor of the fee, felf it should be dropped to $7.00. Mr. Hays said the county will eventually have to have building in- spector, he also talked td the sanitation people in Port Angeles about additional fees. O'Meara brought up that Mason Co charages are $10.00 per lot on each plat recorded for under-writing county commissions, etc. Commissioners will consider adopting this. The commissioners will make theirmecomendation on the building permits at a later date. Jesse Allen appeared for owners, Almasi & Grady, presenting the plat for Log cabin inn Properties. He asked that a statutory hearing date be set for preliminary plat approval and with the Flood Control CommisionG Huntingford motioned and O'Meara second- ed to set hearing for October lO, 1969. Co. Engineer Becker advised Allen that the hearing must be posted and affidavit presented to the Board as to the p~8timg,. Paul Creighton and Sam Swanson appeared regarding 20' of county property thay bought at the county tax sale. The property is adjacent to the North Beach County Park. They wish the county to assign the waterfront property (belonging to the county) directly in front of theirs, to park use. They asked the commissioners to do this by resolution. creighton and Swanson want to place rip-rap on the slope. They will pay for the rip-rap, Huntingford said Lester Hall had previously asked and said the commissioners should talk to the prosecutbr and personally look at the property. Swanson said the proerty is makked by stakes and ribbons. Swanson and Creighton cannot bring in sewage and unilities unless Hall allows, as Hall has leased the street from the city. The commissioners decided they would inspect the properties. Assessor Sofie appeared regarding Matt Ellis's Trailer Park at Discovery BaY. He wanted to know is Ellis would have to made individual building permits for each stall. Thee commissioners decided (advised) that Mr..Ellis would have to have separate building permits. Commissioner Kelly said a public hearing must be held for building permits. Hunt- ingford disagreed. The prosecutor will be consulted as to khat has to be done. On the preliminary puHget Huntingford wants $lOO.OO more for the Puyallup Fair. Kelly wants more for the Quilcene park. O'Meara brought up that a man is needed for care of outlying county parks. George suggested accepting the preliminary budget as is. Kelly said to cut the budget on the final. Sheriff Hansen appeared to introduce Lawrence Gardner and his wife as deputy for the West-end. Mrs. Gardner will be jail cook, etc.. ~nsen said the annex plans have been changed back to his original plan. Mr. Roline appeared (architect for West-end) regarding the annex in the West-end. She plaDs include heating, can include appliances, disposal. Mrs. Roline said the in- clusion of the disposal would elimate future problems. The plan includes paint~ng! ect.. Rough estimate sq. ft. is $l8,00~. Fire coverage could be greater as the area 1S 1n zone 5. Kelly said the well could be put in to cover any fire oontingency. Block building would be comparable in cost to wood. Becker noted blook would be cheaper to maintain. Hot air furnace is being planned, but could go electric and hot air both, electric for one end and hot air for the other. Hansen was concerned about transition area from living quarters to jail. Bids to advertise in Journals, etc., to receive out-side bids. Commissioners received thankyou letter from the Nordland Garden Club for the road sign pointing to their Hall. Notification of meeting at Patt Townsend, Wed., Sept lO, at which the contractor for Jefferson County's Compreh'nsive Couty-wide Sewer and Water plan will present material developed for the plan.
