c. Water pipes shall not be laid in the same trench with the building sewer un-
less the water pipe is at least one foot above the sewer line and laid on a
solid shelf of undisturbed earth at thd side of the trench.
D. No roof, footing or storm drainage may be conducted into any part of the
sewaoe disposal system.
SECTION V. Septic Tanks.
A. No septic tank shall be installed having a capacity of less than seven hun-
dred fifty (750) gallons. capacities necessary shall be based on the waste
loads in accordance with Bulletin E.S. No.1.
l. Capacities of septic tanke to serve commercial and other buildings
shall be based on standards statod in U. s. Public Health Service
Publication No. 526, "The Manual of Septic Tank practiaes."
B. Laundry, kitchen and shower wastes must be discharged into a septic tank and
shall not by-pass the septic tank to discharge directly into the drain~ield.
C. Where soil percolation rates are more than 15 minutes per inch, a two-com-
partment septic tank may be required by the Health Officer.
SECTION VI. Percolation tests and soil LOQs.
A. At least tWD soil percolation tests shall be made in the area of the pro-
posed drainfield location to determine th9 length of drainfield required.
this requirement may be waived at the discretion of the Health Officer.
B. The Health Officer may require soil log holes dug to a depth of at least four
feet to determine presence of clay or hardpan soils or the distance to the
water table.
SECTION VII. Disposal Fields.
A. Where more than one length of disposal trench is installed, trenches shall be
of the same approximate 1en9th arid septic tank effluent shall be discharged
p?oportionately in all trenches.
SECTION VIII. pit Privies.
A. Where a pit privy is allowed it shall be fly and rodent tight and be main-
tained in an odor and nuisance free manner.
B. When the contents of the pit excavation accumulates to within two feet of the
grouhd surface the pit shall then be backfilled with two feet of earth, or
or the contents disposed of in the manner set forth in Section III.
SECTION IX. Cesspools.
A. Cesspools are considered to be of only temporary value, are not~an approved
method of sewage disposal and are potentially dangerous fr.om toe standpoint
of safety and may be used only with the written approval of the Health
Officer.

Ed Becker and Gerome Enquist of Pacific waterproofing came regarding the end of the
building repaired by Tom Parks last week. The Commissioners will inspect this noon.
Revised Fire District No. 4 Budget received and approved.
Statutory hearing for Mystery Bay Tracts - Affidavit of posting received - Jesse
Allen appeared for developer. Motion made by Commissioner O'Meara and seconded by
Commissioner Huntingford to grant preliminary approval for developer to ho ahead
wi th planning.

Enginoer Ed Becker submitted copy of notice of Public Hearing on Junction City Road
vacation scheduled for November 3rd.

Backer's last contact with Western was Friday, October l7th; and they felt it would
be ~alivared in afew days.
Norman Pollock appeared in regard to appointment with Engineer Zlnd Commissioners on
Hoad Cret1 salaries for next years contract. Appointment set for l:30p.m. on Friday
Decomber 5th.
Bob HanS9n appeared in regard to his budget cut. He cannot operate the way he has
beon, or efficiontly without extra deputy. The Commissioners advised that the pro-
blem will be met then the time comes, but pointed out to Sheriff Hansen that he has
