Petition was prosontad trom Quilcono land owners by Charles ScC1anahan as spokesman
with attendancQ with .Blda Such, Estella Sewell, Martha McClanahan, Larry Such, Daniel
L. \liard, &arl Ward, Donald L. Ward, Tony Scalzo, Charles McClanahan, C.J. Nelson and
Bertil Kru~e, requestin9 that barricade by removed from blocked road by right of
usage. f>lr. Bill Stratton appeared objecting to opening of road across his land, and
said he had talked with Mr. Murphy of Attorney Genara1'm Office and was advised
(verbally) that he was in the right. Enoineer stated road is open by continuous usago.
Dutch Barrett asked Commissioners if thoro would be any objection to Discovery Bay
Lodge expanding their facilities to provide a dance floor for dining customers. No
objectionG.
Carl John Nelson appeared regarding rock needed by Port of Port Townsend. Becker
felt they could shoot additional rock in Quilcene pit until probably February. There
is rock available at the Port Ludlow pit at this time.
It was agreed to give the Port Of Port Townsend six minths free rent in exchange for
the improvements they made in the Auditors space used by the Port.
Mr. Huntingford moved that Mr. Kelly answer letter to Ronald E. Westley advising him
that Sheriff has four(4) deputies and there is no reason that a deputy cannot be
placed full time in Qpilcene area.

onded by Chairman Walter Kelly.

Hearing for vacation of portion of Junction City. Engineers recommendation was read
and approved by motion of George Huntingford and seconded by motion of Chairman Kelly.
Building Permit Ordinance wording read and reviewed. Approved as read with revisions.
penalities reduced and structure fees changed from 0 - $499.00 eliminated.
Bridgehaven Division 8 appeared for final approval. The requirements have been met.
George HuntingforG moved and Chairman Walt Kelly seconded motion to approve and sign
final plat for recording.

dist:dbuting and allocating FEDERAL FOREST RESERVE MONIES received by Jefferson
County for the calendar year. 1969.
wrillREAS, the Jefferson County Treasurer is in receipt of the sum of $920,033.58 from
the State Auditor of the State of Washington, representing this County's distributive
share of Federal Forest Reserve Revenues apportioned by the U. S. Department of
Agriculture during the calendar year 1968, and pursuant to the statute of the State
of Washington in such cases made and provided it is nOWI the duty of the Board of Jeff-
erson County Commissioners to make the proper disposition thereof, and,
WHEREAS, this Board of County Commissioners has given careful consideration to the
needs of the County Road System, and to the needs of the several school districts
of Jefferson County and their necessary administrative requirements, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, ,nd this Board of County Commissioners does hereby order, allocate,
distribute and apportion said sum of $920,033.58 as follows:
(a) to the COUNTY ROAD FUND for the maintenance and construction of County
Road s duri.ng the year 1970, the sum of $460, Ol6. 79;
(b) to 'lh e COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS the sum of $460,Ol6.79 to be distributed
as follows: to be apportioned according to attendance in said Districts
by tha County Superintendant of Schools (Intermediate School District
#ll4) according to law, as folloas: School District No. 20 (Queets-
Cle~rwatoJ:) tho Rum of $ll,946.35; School District No. 46 (Brinnon) the
sum of $8,210.551 Sohool District No. 48 (Quilcnne) the Gum of $50,540.35
SChool District No. 49 (Chimacu~) the sum of $103,749.45; School District
No. 50 (Port Townoend) $274,298.90; School District No. 402 (Quilla-
yuta) tho sum of $1l,2ll.l9.
