November l7, 1969 Meeting called to order by Chairman Walter A. Kelly with all members present. Roy Lindsey appeared regarding inspection time limit on septic installations. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1-69 This matter came on for determination this day, having been continued from November 7, 1969, and the Board having re- considered the proposed ordinance in detail it was unamously resolved that Section 4 be changed by striking the words "three working days" and substituting "Four working days" and that SeCtion 8 be amended by striking "Afine of $250.00" and substituting "A fine of $lOO.OO" and amending the re- maining portion to lO days in jail. Motion made by George Huntingford and seconded by O'Meara to accept Ordinance l-69 as revised. Bid opemings as follows: Elevator Murphy Lumber and Salvage Installation (including tZiX) $5,486.25 Western Elevator Corporation (plus tax) $lO,500.00 Shaft - Bids will be recalled for bid. Delayed due to completion of adequate spec's. George Huntingford moved, seconded by O'Meara that elevator bid be accepted from Murphy Lumber and Salvage. O'Meara moved and George Huntingford seconded motion to accept Western Elevator Co~poration bid for installation. Mr. Roline A.I.A. brought shaft layout and will send copy to State elevator inspect- or. With present monies obligated including change orders: Courthouse repair Elevator delivered Installation $49,431. 57 5,486.25 lO.972.50 $65,890.32 4,000.00 10,000.00 $79,890.32 Est. Est. Front door Entrance Shaft (with variables) Mr. Sofie appeared regarding '69 ratio in regard to Public utilities assessment. In regard to Board of Adjustments, Sofie reported nearly a quarter of a million dollars in omitted properties to be, added to 1970 tax roll. Discussion of changjng the regular Commissioner meetings to one day per week due to encreased business. Was suggested meeting every Monday. Park programs and addition discussed. Mike Ragan of Game Department said the Game Department would not allow them to construct a fishing bridge out of their funds, but would not be against private Clubs and individuals raising money and building a public facilities on their (Park Dept.) land. Meeting will be Arranged ten- tatively for the December l5th. meeting at 2:00P.M. Becker recommended that a well be drilled at Leland Park above road. Moved by. George Huntingford, seconded by O'Meara ~o go ahead with pitcher hand pump. Meeting adjourned until December l, 1969.
