Letter presented by Chairman Walter Kelly to Commissioners Huntingford and O'Meara on
Plan map for Census. Motion made by O'Meara and seconded by Huntingford to check with
Bill Daly on Judicial aistricts.
Commissioners Kelly, Huntingford and Engineer Becker will attend the Department of Insti,t-
uHons meeting on "Implementation of a Philosophy of Adult Corrections " at the Seattle
Center on January 2l, 1970.
t-Ir. Dan Nowman of Qu:l.lceno a.ppeared to ask if County dyke could have the top lowered by
owner of lot #19. Commissioner Kelly said if he did, his property could be flooded by
water and that he was opposed to selling any County lots that would put County dykes in
jepardy.

Timber Contract Agroemont was prosented by Mr. Jim Sofie and signed by Chairman Kelly.
t-lr. Frank Garrod, from the Port Townsend Leader, asked how the Commissioners felt about a
sales tax on the County lovel and all three Commissioners stated that they were against
it at the present time.
Voucher for M. G. Poole for Planning Services was signed by Commissioners Kelly, Hunting-
ford and O'Meara.

TRANSFER RESOLUTION AND REQUEST FOR !HE DIRECTOR OF HIGHlIJA YS TO
PERFOR~M CERTAIN WORK
Before the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, WaShington.
It is HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that the Director of
Highways is authorized and directed to perform preliminary engineering, review plans, ad-
vertise for bids and other related work

to the amount of One thousand ($l,OOO.OO) Dollars, being an amount not in excess of the
amount of money now credited or reasonably anticipated to accrue to Jefferson County in
the r.lotor Vehicle Fund during the 1969 - 1971 biennium, and
Authorization is hereby granted for the withholding from the allocation of fuel
tax revenues to Jefferson County, from the Motor Vehicle Fund, an amount not in excess of
the aforesaid work, a statement having been furnished Jefferson County of the cost of all
labor, equipment; material, supplies, and engineering, athorization is made to effect
reimbursement to the Department of Highways in the amount of such cost from the funds with-
jeld, however, not to ~xceed the above specified sum with any unexpended balance to be
released to Jefferson County and to be included in the next succeeding war~ant covering
~uel tax allotments, all in accordance with RCW 47.08.080.
ADOPTED this 19th day of January, 1970.
