Commissioner O'~leara moved am Commissioner Huntingford seconded to award bid on Friday, February 6, 1970. Bid opening for Cold decked timber near the Dosewallips River: 1. "R" Logging Company 2. W. II. Pederson $305.00 $557.00 Motion made by Commissioner Huntingford and seconded by Commissioner O'l'<Jeara to a~lard the bid of cold decked timber in Section 24 and 25, Township 26 North, Range 1 West, W.M. near the Dosewallips River to Wally H. Pederson for $557.00. ~Ir. ~Iarcus l'Iiller came in to suggest that the Commissioners appoint a man or woman from Labor to the Planning Commission to take Robert M. Hays place. Commissioner Kelly asked if he had some names to put before the board, and he suggested Pat Johnson and Conrad Schwenke. Motion made by Commissioner Huntingford and seconded by Commissioner O'Meara to accept the minutes of January 19th. meeting. Motion made by Commissioner Huntingford and seconded by Commissioner O'Meara to accept the resigna tion of Rebert ~1. Hays from the Jefferson County Planning Commission. Chairman Kelly asked that letter be written thanking him for a job well done. Application for assistance from the Soldiers' and Sailors' Relief Fund for Carl W. IvIann lvas submitted. l'vlotion made by Commissioner O'Meara and seconded by Commissioner Hu.nting- ford that application be approved. Letter from Headly A. Yow concerning Sewage Disposal. Chairman Kelly said the State t':as working on this. Letters from Fred ~l. Powell am ~Ir, and l'Irs. Leo Currie complaining about the water system at Cape George Colony. l'Jr. Becker said he had lunch with 1'1r. Reddell and was told by him that pressure pumps were being put in now, and that the Health Department had already approved quite abit of it. Commissioner Huntingford asked that letters be written to both parties informing them work was progressing. Department of Institutions meeting and luncheon on February 6th. Commissioners are unable to attend because the regular meeting of the Board is on the same day. Public Utility revenue repcrt read by Commissioners. Olympic Air Pollution and Control Authority letters and regulation No.1. Notice ox meetM ing on February 4th. Chairman Kelly will be attending the meeting. Mr. Frank Erb appeared concerning appointment for Planning Commission to take Bob Hays place. Denny Sullivan came in with a request for packing gravel for the driveway in front of the Humane Society. Commissioner O'f<leara said he would speak to Ed Hawley and Commissioner Huntingfard said they would see to it that they received the gravel. Department Q Natural Resourses letter and notice of a moeting. Commissioner Kelly asked that letter be given to Robert "ays. Letter from "orner S. Smith, Hartford Insurance Co. stating that the fire insurllnce policy coverinCJ the Courthouse contents and oarago will be comil19 up for renewal on Mach 9, 1970. Notion made by Commissioner O'rvlel\ra and seconded by Commissioner Huntingford to appoint I-Iarry Pollard to the Planning Commission to take Robert Hllys place. Bill from Quilcene Community' Club for two lights fpr $72.00 for 1969. Commissioner Kelly will inform the members at meoting tonight that the Commissioners are to be billed by the Powor Co.
