Permi t No. 70-8-5262 - to place buried telephone cable, joint with puget Sound Power i,and Light Company along the easterly side of Lead 135-908\v-lOlW approximately 1580'; and along i,the nca: therly side of Lead 135-908W-IOIW-14W froni and across, Lead 135-908\v-lOlW in a westerly 'direction to Lead 135-908W-I04W14\v-3S, thence across Lead l35-908W-101W-14W and along the !northwes~erly side of' Lead 135-980W-IOIW-14W-3S for approximately 1250'; and all street !crossings, all as shown in detail on the attached sketches, by this reference hereby made a ,part of this permit, and located in the Plat of Bridgehaven, Section 17, Township 27 North, i:Range 1 East, W.I\I. There beina no further business before the Board, on motion of Commissioner Huntingford and 'second of Commissioner O'j\leara the meeting was adjourned until April 20, 1970 # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # April 20, 1970 10:00a.m. Meeting called to order by Commissioner George Huntingford with Commissioner , O'Meara being present and Chairman Walter A. Kelly absent. Mr. Melvin Kivley and Mr. Myron Reed appeared re: ~ sales tax. Mr. Kivley feels the County, including the roads, are in good shape so he is against the tax. Commissioners informed him : that they are also against the tax, but a survey will be made before June to see if the tax ' is needed or not. Mr. Reed also spoke against the new Housing regulations and restrictions concerning the 9,000 ft. base for housing unit. He is in the process of planning low income housing, but with res- trictions now in force, he is unable to get the loan necessary to build. Wants to build smaller units on less land. Mr. Richard E. Toepper, representing the Chimacum Grange, spoke against the ~% sales tax. H. F. Barrett, of Discovery Bay Village, and George Roats appeared regarding th~ water system at Discovery Bay Village. Plat cannot be approved because chemical test of the water has not been received and approved by the Health Department, and plat has not been recorded. Mr. Mike Selivanoff, of Bigstone Construction Company, appeared with Engineer Becker. Becker stated that he had checked the qualifications and bonding of the company, had mode agreement with Mr. Selivanoff on completion date on contract, and recommended that Bigstone be awarded the bid on Oak Bay Road, Co. Rd. No. lO. f-Iotion mfldo by Commissioner Q'Mearfl and seconded by Commissioner Huntingford to award bid for improvement of Oak Bay Road to Bigstono Corporation. Joff Pederson appeared regarding the rental of VFW Hall. for Port Townsend JC functions. He was roferred to prosecuting Attorney William Daly for advice.
