Hearing on Deer Park Plat - no one appeared.
Hearing on Marshall Addition - Mr. R. H. Handley appeared against the approval of the plat.
Survey runs over on to his property. Engineer Becker suggested that plat not be approved
until this and road situation is solved.
f\lrs. Elizabeth Barlow and f\lr. and f-lrs. Ed Woody appeared to speak for the open range law in
the \'lest end. f-lrs. Barlow said the reason people are against open range is because of cattle
on highway. Chairman Kelly told them that a petition would have to be drawn up and sianed bYi
the people in that area before they could go either way. f-lrs. Woody asked that two (2)
cattle guards be built. Mrs. Barlow asked for firm commitment concerning cattle guard on res~
ervation. .
Hearing on Toandos Del Nar. Appearing were Don Churchill, Frank White and Robert Fakkenia.
Motion made by Commissioner Huntingford and seconded by Commissioner O'f\leara to approve
preliminary plat of Toandos Del f\lar.
Bond for Lazy C approved by Chairman Kelly and Engineer Becker. Bond was re-written for
$24,000, and in the name of Jefferson County. Division No. 3 signed by Kelly and Becker.

minutes of April 20th. meeting.
Commissioners will act on Board of Equalization and not hire more members.
Letter from Department of Revenue concerning revaluation grants received by Commissioners.
Letter from Ruskin Fisher and Assoc. re: Protection Island water system.
Denial of request for funds to send Sheriff Hansen to Institute on Narcotics from Law and
Justice Planning Office.
Copy of letter sent to State Department of Health for grant application forms for solid waste,
planning from Sleavin-Kors.
[ylr. Holland Barrett and Nr. George Roats appeared regarding approval of plat at Discovery
Bay Vil1age. Approval held up because of Health Department.
f\lotion made by Commissioner Huntingford to request a two (2) year variance for open burning
until county can get a disposal system. Commissioner O'Heara second the motion.
Telephone Permit No. Est. 3-5967, revised, was signed by Commissioners. Permit as follows:
To plaoe buried telephone cable along the easterly side of Lead 135-1103, from an existing
manhole, located near the New Pt. Ludlow C.O., in a northerly direction to an un-named road,
thence easterly along the southerly side of the un-named road .
Resolution No. 13-70, in the matter of certain county roads, to improve by constructing a
bituminous surface treatment, was approved and signed by Commissioners.
Commissioners signed ag%eement with Sleavin-Kors for planning and engineering services for a
solid waste planning and management program. '
