The Commissioners received notices from the Department of Revenue concerning:
1. Revaluation program bid proposals
2. Audit teams reviewing personal property records in ten counties
3. Rulings issued on Drag Racer, Farm Vehicles and Nursury Stock
4. Training sessions scheduled fer Evaluation Boards.
Commissioners read the copy of a letter sent to Ed Becker from Long, Mil<kelborg, Wells &
Fryer, Attnys. re: The proposed form of deed for the plat road through the Egan property
in the Triton Cove Estates. It is also their intention to join in the existing plat and
thereby validate it rather than tileir original intention of leaving the land undeveloped and
subject to future plans.
Letter from ~Irs. Kay Glavich concerning the dangerous entrance to her driveway off the Oak
Bay road.
~Ir. and ~lrs. John Lyon appeared before the Board in regard to the road leading into their
property on tl13 Coyl penninnsula. Engineer Becker will check out the property arrl the road-
Ivay.
!vlotion made by Commissioner O'Meara to accept minutes of !vlay l8, 1970 meeting. Second by
Commissioner Huntingford.
Motion made by Commissioner Huntingford and seconded by Commissioner O'Meara to approve and
sign Resolution No. 16-70, to improve by clearing and grubbing County Road No. 314 (Irondale)
Jack Hensel reappeared to present tbe Hensel Addition Plat to the Board. Plat is located
inside the city limits and will be presented to the City Council for approval.
Enactmznt of the 1/2 % sales tax Ivas discussed by fue Board and County Auditor, Betty Temple.
Commissioners received notice from the Department of Natural Resources on the County's sh~re
of money received from Pope & Talbot, Inc. for installment sale of timber. $544.00
Notice from the Bureau of the Census that the preliminary count for Jefferson County is
10,232.
Commissioners signed Notice of Rejection of Claim for damages to be sent to Lennie and Bar-
bara Throne Jr. and Phillip and Ida Weixel Jr.
State Liqu or Control Board sent notice that license No. 352991, class EF issued to Reed's
Enterprises Inc. was approved.
Olympic Health District budget, Revision #1, April 1 - December 31st. 1970 read by Commiss-
ioners.
commissioners received Planning Guide for Water Pollution Control and Abatement from the
Water Pollution Control Commission, and Chapter 372-68 of Water Pollution Control and abate-
ment plans for sewage Drainage Basins.
Commissioner s received letters foom Dougan, Eader, Reynolds & Wheller regarding Fir0, casualty
and Property Insurance and meeting wi~ Harry A. Sutliffe to discuss the Washington Assoc. of
Counties Law Enforcement Officers Insurance Program.
2:00p,m. r.leeting with Harry Sutliffe, Jack Heath and Sheriff Hansen regardin0 th<' Washington
Assoc. of Counties Law Enforcement Officers Insurance Program. !vIr. Sutliffe presented the
plan and stated that all claims vlOuld be filed throurJh Jack Heath. Insurance program could
become effective as of June 1st. There are eight members of the Sheriff's office to be in-
sured, including the Sheriff.
3:00p.m. N~man Pollack appeared to present the Teamsters Local 589 Insurance Plan. There
are several plans to choose from but AA plan has 90% coverag~.
Sheriff Hansen will di scuss th e two insurance programs with the Deputies and make their rec-
omendations to the Commissioners.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

Relief Fund. Because of his serious situation the Board approved and signed the l\pplic~tion
for the amount of $75.00.
Commissioners approved and si9ned May Bills to be paid in June.
