Ii II Resolution No. 31-70 ii I: I: Transfer of lunds for the County Fair was approved and signed by Commissioners. RESOLUTION NO. 31-70 IT APPEARS TO THE BOARD OF JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that the Jefferson County Fall' Revolving Fund does not have sufficient cash on hand to pay all the expenses (premiums) of the Fall' until their allocation from the State Fall' Fund Is received, and BE IT RESOLVED under authority vested by RCW 36.37.040, the County Treasurer is em- ployed to transfer funds from the Current Expense Fund of the County to the Jefferson County Fair Revolving Fund, and IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the County Treasurer transfer $5,000.00 to the County Fair Revolving Fund and when the allocation from the State Fair Fund is received, the Treasurer shall first deduct from such remittance the money heretofore Itransfered in the said sum of $5,000.00, and credit the same to the CURRENT EXPENSE FUND. He stated a water survey was being made at Chimacum-Hadlock area !i tofind out cost of tap per person. Next water meeting will be at Chlmacum School. He also spoke of right-of- 'I way in front of the Packing House. Mr. Bishop and Mr. George Gunn have the possibility of selling the pack- ii Ing house but cannot if the County takes the right-of-way. Mr. Bishop stated that Horace Gleason informed II him the County would give the road back to them. He asked to have the water pipes restored on his property 'I and signed statement that the County will nnt take the right-of-way In front of the packing house. Chairman [ Kelly said they will look at the property this afternoon. Ii Mr. Ed Richie, Mr. Ernie Swanson, Executive Secretary, Washington State Fire Commlsaion, and Lloyd ;, Chandler, representing the Nordland Community Club appeared re: Petition for Annexation to Fire District No.1. Pros. Attny. Daly stated that in his opinion the annexation was not contiguous to the present fire district due to the st rip of property owned by the Government and utilized by the Navy. Commissioners will pospone action until further information is acquired. Auditor, Betty Temple Informed the Board that at the present time $500,000 of County funds is Invested and profits to date from surplus investment amount to $41, 309. 20. Cash on hand Is $1,246, 7Z5. 80 and monies received from Federal Forest Fund was $1,092,651. 79. County Treasurer, Arthur Swanson given permission ,,'II' by the Commissioners to Invest $500,000 more. Mr. John Swift appeared re: Marine View Estates. Motion made by Commissioner O'Meara, seconded by Commluloner Huntlngford to approve minutes of last meeting.
