Commissioners received six notices from the Dept. of Revenue.
1) Copy of the Agreement for State Administration of Local Sales and Use Tax
2) 1970 Regular Property tax millage limitations.
3) Four more counties and 14 more towns and cities to levy. 5% sales tax Oct. 1, 1970.
4) Taxable values of Utilities equalized.
5) Revaluation - four more counties have qualified for funds under the State Revaluation Program!.
Second year allocations Include Jefferson Count y for $36,876.

Letter from William R. Conte, M. D. stated that Jefferson County will receive matching funds for Mental
Health Program. Amount of state funds, $1,845.
Dept. of Natural Resources, County trust transmittal of funds: $370.80 from Lester Adams, $8,201. 75
from Lester Adams; $1,520.00 from Crown Zellerbach. Also, letter of appreciation for map and informat-
ion sent to them.
Copy of letter from Becker to Puget Power granting request to proceed with line extension, formal request
to follow.
Letter from Governor Evans urging support for four Justices of the State Supreme Court, Neill, McGovern,
Stafford and Sharp.

RESOLUTION NO. 31-70A

INTENT TO VACATE
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSION-'
ERS that it is not in the public interest to cont.inue to maintain as a part of the County Road System:
All that portion of the Camp ~armony Road, Co. Rd. No. 16-15.11, in Sections
9 & 16, T. 26 N. R. I W., W. M. between Station 31+78. 1 and Station 54+50.5
as shown on plan of S. R. P. No. 0-21 dated, May 1937.

and in contemplation of the language of the statute, RCW 36.87.010, the same is useless, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, and this BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS does now declare
its intention to vacate and abandon said road, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby directed to examine said
road and report his opinion as to whether thlo county road should be vacated and abandoned; whether any Is
in use or has been In use; the conditions thereof, and whether It will be advisable to preserve said road for

the County Road System In the future; whether the P!lbllc wlll be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and
all other facts, matters and things which will be of Importance to the Board; and that Buch report be filed as
