Ii Commissioners adjourned for lunch and to inspect the Oak Bay and Quilcene roads.
Motion by Commissioner Huntingford and second by Chairman Kelly to grant the Port Townsend Planning
i' Commission permission to uae the Jury room ,in the Courthouse for their regular meetings on the lal3t'Mon-
day of each month commencing with the month of November, 1970.
Commissioners received the Budget Report dated September Il, 1970.

10:00a. m. Meeting called to order by Chairman Walter A. Kelly with Commissioner George Huntingford pre-
sent and Commissioner A. M. O'Meara absent.
Mr. George Hicks appeared re: Welfare compensation cut-off due to misunderstanding over property contigu-
ous to his. Stated there is thirty feet of property which he did not know belonged to him until it was going to
be sold for taxes. Said Mr. Ra~ph Dyer paid the taxes and he si8ned the deed over to Mr. Dyer. Mr. Hicks
stated that he was not paid any money for the property and now he and Mr. Dyer want to turn the property,
which is part of the county road system, over to the county. Assessor, Jim Sofie, said he would send letter
to Welfare Office in Mr. Hicks' behalf enabling him to receive welfare checks again.

County Aases90r, Jim Sofie, discusaed the "0pen Space Program" with Commillsioners. It was decided to
table decision on filing fee until the next meeting.
Motion made by Commissioner Huntingford and seconded by Chairman Kelly to approve minutes of November
2nd. meeting.

Prosecuting Attorney Daly presented a letter from Vaughn Evans, Attny. for Hartegan, concerning the damage!
to Hartegan'e property. Evans stated that they will accept an offer from the County to purchase a right-a-way;~
along with the settlement of this action, however, if settlement cannot be reached promptly, action will be !
taken by him and lawsuit filed.
Commissioners approved and signed two telephone permits for. Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Co., IlS
follows:

Install burled wlre along the south side of Olele Road from Oa.k Bay Road to the
