Motion by Commissioner Huntinford for Engineers Office to put up basketball nets at court across the street
from the Courthouse. Commi8sloner O'Meara seconded the motion.
Commissioners received ten additional copies of the West Sound Basins, Including maps, for Workshops,
from Dennis Lundblad.
Advertising Regulations from Washington State LlquOl' Control Board to become eUectlve November 27th.,
received by the Commluioners.

RequElst from Administrative Postmaster for Star tloute, fOl' repair on Oak Bay-Port Ludlow road. Engineer
Becker wlll be advised.

Mr. Art Crews, Supervisor, and Mr. Mike Ragon, Ranger, from State Game Dept. appeared 1'0: Swimming
area at Lake Leland. Mr. Crews stated that he was in favor of a swimming area at the south end of the lake,
but the State could not be responsible for sanitary facllltieo. Said the county could apply for funds for needed
buildings and publlc access from "0utdoor Recreation Fund". Mr. Crews will flee to it that land Uae Agree-
ment for swimming area is drawn up between the Parks Dept. and the County. Special meeting wlll be held
December 7th. with Mr. Sibon for information on applying for loan.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

10: OOa. m. Meethg called to order by Chairman Walter A. Kelly with all members present.

Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Commissioner O'Meara to approve minutes of November 16t~
meeting.
Mr. Roy Nordby appeared with Lloyd Chandler" Harold Dill and Finnis 'Stevens re: Improvement of road at
Oak Bay intersection. They also presented letter from the Nordland Community requesting WOl'k be done on
the Oak Bay Road. Engineer Becker informed them that work on the intersection was scheduled In the 1971
Road Program and is being worked on now.

Mr. Finnis Stevens also requested information on Open Space Taxation. Stated that he had information on
wording of application and his understanding was that taxes would go up. Said that it his taxes were to go up
any more, he would have to seil his property. Chairman Kelly informed him that no action ht\d been taken
as yet, and that he was definately against any further raise in taxes.
Mr. David M. Thompson appeared for his brother Ted Thompson re: Road in Nolton .Addition. Stated road
was cut in wrong place and is on private property, Estate on tract 7. Wants road put back where its suppose
to be. Said they would give 10' of property on upper side on Turner Road If county would open it up anel aban-
don the road now is use. They would also like the trees cut because they are blocking the view of property
owner3. Engineer Becker stated that they would need five or six more feet more for the curve for ent.l'a,nce
on to Turner Road. Chairman Kelly Informed Mr. Thompson that he would Inspect the road and property.

to set up meeting with Mr. Robert S. Lemche and Commissioners.
