Letter from H.C. Reuter, Col. USA Retd. stating he was paying taxes on his prbperty in Irondale under pro-I! test because Jefferson County denied his request for road vacation. Ii II I' Letter from Mr. John Raymond Guy regarding the recent appraisal of hie property. Copy of letter to Mr. Guy from Assessor Jim Sofie. Real Property petitions sent to Mr. Guy so that he may appeal hill calle to the Board of Equalization convening in July. There being no further business before the Board the meetiltg waaadjourned. April 19, 1971 I 10:00a. m. Meeting called to order by Chairman A. M. O'Meara with all members present. Hearing for Franchise for Plats of Paradise Bay and Paradise View Estates for Water Dietrict No.1. Eng- ineer Becker stated he felt the people concerned should be aware of RCW 36.55 making them liable Cor construction, maintenance and operation of a water works and system over and along each ltnd every street, avenue, alley or public place in the Plats. Moved by Commissioner Huntingford, second b}' Commissioner Kelly for Franchise to be granted. Resolution will be drawn up for Commissioners signing on Monday, Apl'il 26th. Appearing for Franchise Hearing were: Louise M. Brandt, Chairman, Water District No.1. Neoma B. Shepherd and Alma Brands. Secretary will send copy of RCW 36.55 and acknowledgemant of approval to Water Diatrict No.1. Engineer Becker also stated necessary traffic sighns will be installed. I Moved by Commissioner Kelly, second by Commissioner Huntingford to approve minutes of April 12t.h meet- ing. Ii Resolution No. 13-71, that Director of Highways is authorized and directed to provide asphalt plant inspection:: and related services for Oak Bay Road to the amount of $3,500, approved and signed by Commissioners, as follows: .. RESOLUTION NO. 13-71 TRANSFER RESOLUTION AND REQUEST FOR THE DIRECTOR OF HIGHWA YS TO PERFORM CERTAIN WORK Before the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington. I It is HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that the Director of Highways is authorized and directed to provide asphalt plant inspection and related services for Jefferson County project, Oak Bay Road, to the amount of Three thousand, five hundred ($3, 500. 00) dollars, being an amount not inexccss of the amount now credited or reasonably anticipated to accrue to Jefferson County in the Motor Vehicle Fund during': the 1969-1971 biennium, and i . Authorization is hereby granted for the withholding from the allocation of fuel tax revenues to Jefferson County, from the Notor Vehicle Fund, an amount not in ey',::ess of the above specified sum, lor the use of the Director of Highways _to defray the costs incurred in the performance of the aforesaid requested,! work, and upon completion of the aforesaid work, a statement having been furnished Jefferson County of the cost of all labor, equipment, material, supplies, and engineering, authorization is made to effect reImburse-I ment to the Department of Highways in the amount of such from the funds withheld, however, not to exceed ,I the above specified sum with any unexpended balance to be released to Jefferson County and to be included in the next succeeding warrant covering fuel tax allotments, all in accordance with RCW 47.08.080.
