L. Seth, advising he paid 1971 taxes on his property, Lot 17, Block I, Williams Addition, under protest because county has failed to furn ish ingress and egress to this property. Notice from State Liquor Control Board that as of April 15,1971, license issued to Edith Jean Dalgleish and Andrew C. Dalgleish had been transferred to Byron Hamlet Rude, Genaldine B. Rude, Donald R. Campbell and Agnes A. Campbell, d/b/a Geoduck Tavern. Public Notice No. 71-N-06 re: Bridges, from Department of Transportation, U.S. COl<ut Guard. Martin. Bid Opening for one (1) towed type chip spreader for county roads. One Bid submitted. (1) Andrews Machinery - $2,743.65 Reconlmended by County Engineer Becker to accept bid. Motion by Commissibner Huntingford; second by Chairman O'Meara to accept bid and award contract to Andews Machinery. Joe Dunlap, Chairman, Jefferson County Planning Commission, appeared with letter of resignatioll from Pat Soaps. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Chairman O'Mea'ra to accept Pat Soaps' res- ignation from the Planning Commission. Preliminary Hearing for Seamount E'states, Division No.2. Mr. Hail Turnley appeared for Plat, and Mr. Randall M. Durant, District Sanitarian appeared from the Health Dept. Mr. Turnley st ated he had just sent remaining information to the Olympic Health District for approval. Board needs approval from Health Department and County Planning Commission before approval of final plat. Motion by Commissioner Hunt- ingford, second by Chairman O'Meara to give "go ahead" for Seamount Estates. Mr. Larry Matson and Dr. Glen Deer appeared re: New section for Bridgehaven Development. Requested permission to submit a preliminary plat with sewer treatment plant;' Approval given by' Board, contigent on approval by State Dept. of Health, Olympic Health District and Dept. of Ecology. Mr. John Nelson appeared re: County road contiguous to his property. In quired from Engineer Becker just how far road will be widened. Becker informed him if he is behind trees, he can rest assured his property will not be disturbed any furthe r. Norman Pollach, Teamsters Local 589, appeared re: Health Insurance. to $35.26. This raise affects both the road crew and the Sheriff's office. Premiems are going up from $32.05: ;, Fred Houghton, Developer at Oak Head,' appeared before the Board. His surveyers are in dispute with Frank. i' White's surveyers on property claimed by Oak Head and Toandos Del Mar. They will be meeting some time this week to try to settle dispute. Commissioners aparoved and signed'call for bids for theconstrucHon of a Cast-in-place Concrete Bridge across Chimacum C,reek, near Hadlock. Bid opening on Monday, lvIay 17th. at 10:00a. m. Motion by CommiBsioner Huntingford, second 'by Chairman 0' Meara to accept minutes of last meeting as written. Commissioners discussed letter from Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ridderbush with Engineer 'Bec~er 1:'0: Vacat.!,on of North Leland road. All concur road should be vacated. Becker will have resolution drawn up. Commissioners signed Franchise for Water Works System for Jefferson County Water District 1'l0. I, for plats of Paradise Bay and Paradise View Estates. Recorded in Volume 25, page 83 and 84. Auditor, Betty' Temple, disscussed the need for resolution conce rning milage and expenses incur rod by County Omcers anu employeeu whl/ln traveling on County business.' Resolution will be dr'awn ,up. Membership application for NACO authorized by Commissioners to be mailed today.
