Bid Opening for two (2) automobiles. 1) Kruse Car Center......... .,...... $3.201.45 per unit 2) Buhler Motors... ... .. . .. .... . ... $6.196.85 3) Thomas Motors..................$6.120.87 Bids checker by Engineer Becker. advising that Thomas Motors is the low bider. Motion by Commissioner Kelly. second by Commissioner Huntingford to award bid to Thomas Motors. I Port Townsend Jaycees. Dick Spindor. Bill Trelore and Bob Tiegel. appeared re: Disagreement between them and VFW Post #1495. Presented letter from Lloyd K. Saxton. Comdr.. stating rules they will be governed by for use of VFW Hall. Both Jaycees and Veterans hold a lease for the building. Chairman O'Meara asked Prosecutor Daly for an opinion and he stated that Jaycees h.'we no legal status in the building., Commissioners prefer Vets and Jaycees solve problem themselves. No action taken by the Board at this time. Ralph Theriault. Commander of Veterans Post #7498. appeared re: Boards refusal of James Hh'sehel's request for funds from the Soldiers' &: Sailors' Relief Fund. He was informed that Mr. Hirsehel's bills were all current at the time of filing and therefore they did not feel he was in dire need. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford to give Engineer Becker permission to continue work and c;onstru.ction of bleachers in Memorial Field. Second by Commissioner Kelly. . Commissioners approved and signed Resolution No. 15-71. pertaini.ng to necessary reasonable traveliilg expenses for county officers and employees. by motion of Commissioner Huntingiord and second by Com- missioner Kelly. Unanimous by Board. Resolution as follows: RESOLUTION NO. l2.:1!. I RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PERTAINING TO NECESSARY REASONABLE TRA VELlNG EXPENSES FOR COUNTY OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES~ AND ESTABLISHI- NG MILEAGE RATES FOR THE USE OF PRIVATE AUTOMOBILES. I WHE1REAS. Chapter 4 of the Laws of 1963. permits a travel allowRllce tip to ten cents per mUe for each mUe of necessary travel by all County Officers. Now. TherfJfore. '. BE IT RESOLVED BY, TH;E BOARD OF JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: Section 1.
