10:00a. m. Meeting called to order by Chairman A. M. OJMears with all members present.
Hearing for John W. Weaver, Open Space Land Classification. Co. Assessor, Jim Sontl, stated he did not
feel government lots should be included. Nr. Weaver said the U. S. Forest Dept. is planting trees which have
cost him about $200 so far. Tidelands are owned by soneone other than hin, and if compared with adjoining
property, it has low bank, and his goes up to I, 400ft. except for 50ft. of property, (78 acres involved). Mr.
Weaver agreed to hold 126 acres as tree farm and 22,85 acres as limited use water frontage, The petition
for classification was withdrawn with prerogative to re-apply for classification at a later da,te,
Commissioners approved-and signed Resolution No. 21-71 re: Bi-County Youth Opportunity Project for
College age students, as follows:
RESOLUTION NO. 21-71
WHEREAS, the BOARD OF JEF.FERSON COUNT:Y COMMISSIONERS are in agreement with the
Office of Economic Opportunity and the Clallan -Jefferson County Community Action Council regarding a
summer work program for College age students, and
WHEREAS, agreeable arrangements have been made with Community Action Program (CAP) for
number of students to be hired, districts from districts from which the; will be hired, and amount of funds to
be paid by Jefferson County, to-wit:

Quilcene, Brinnon

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
WASHINGTON, authorize $2,000.00 (two thoueand donat's) to be p:l.id to the Clallan-Jefferson County Com-
munity Action Agency from the Jefferaon <:.:ounty Roa,c;! Fund f.or funding the Bi-Count}r Youth Opportunity

approval of water system with the restriction that bond not be released untol all work is co, pleted. Letter of

Mr. John Green appeared re: Licensing of candy vending machinciJ. He was inl'ormed by the Board th.'.\t he
did not need f'license from the county but he would hjave,to inquire to the State fo.1:' thier regulations.
Mr. Ken Hopper epperared re: Sale of gravel pit property. Ste,tad he .....ould like to lmll 500ft. of rock pit
