Ties to Washington Coordinate System (1045 Ch.168 Sec. 1-10): Whi!)re the aectLon Includl.ng the proposed subdivision is within one-half mile of a triangulation or traverse station for which coordinates based on the Washington CoordinAte System have been estabUshed, the section lIubdlvislon required by Ch. 271, Laws of 1969, shall be supplemented by coordinates computed on the State Coordinate System in accord- ance with the provisions of Ch. 58. 20 R,CW, as de rived from Ch, 168, Laws oC 1956. c. Sufficient data shall be shown to determine readily the bearing and length of oach 'line, and the basis of meridian referred to. i. Whenever the Engineer has established the center line of a road, such data shall be considered in making the surveys and in preparing the first map, and all monuments found shall be Indicated and proper references made to field books or maps of public record relating to the monuments. If the points were reset by ties, that fact shall be stated. . j. In making the survey for the subdivision, the surveyor shall set sufficient permanent monuments ;1' so that the surveyor any part thereof may be readily retraced. Such monuments shall generally be placed at angle points on the exterior boundary lines of the tract, and at intersections of center lines of streets and , at beginning of curves and end of curves on center lines. Such monuments may be placed on offset lines. Stak~s at lot corners will not be considered permanent. The character, type and positions of all monuments shall. I! be noted on the map. Monuments shall be 2"pipe, 24" long, filled with concrete or approved equivalent. Each:: control point marking the boundary of the plat shall be accurately marked by a marker of stone or concrete as approved by the County Engineer. Each lot corner shall be marked by a steel peg driven into the ground; such steel peg shall be a standard 1/2" iron pipe or equal as approved by the County Engineer. ,It is intended that all monuments shall be set after the grading of streets. In case the plat is approved prior to completion of grading, temporary monuments shall be set and tied out and the bond or other security deposited to insure the grading shall be increased to the amount of the Engineer's estimate of the cost of resetting monuments s.fter gradingU completed. I k. For each center line intersection monument set, the surveyor under whose aupervision the survey has been made shall furnish to the Engineer a set of notes showing clearly the ties between monument and sufficient number (normally four) of durable distinctive reference points or monuments. Snch reference points to monuments may be nails or tacks in trees, concrete walds or such Sllbstitute therefor as appears most likely not to be damaged or disturbed. Such set of notes shall comply with standards set by the Engineer, and shall be indexed and filed by the Engineer as a part of the pe rmanent records. . I, When a subdivision borders on a body of water, a plat meander line aha11 be established along th0 shore at a safe distance back from the ordinary highwater mark of such a body of wa.ter. Property lying beyond such meander line shall be defined by distances along the side property lines extended from the meander line. Wherever the thread of a stream forms a boundary of a plat, such stream thread shall be denned by bearings and distances as it exists at the time of survey. m. All documents, maps and survey books shall contain the name of the subdivider and the name of the registered land surveyor doing the survey. Section 4, OS Dedications a. All streets, highways and parcels of land shown on the final map and intended for any public use shall be offered for dedication for public use, except where the provisions, of this ordinance provide for private streets. I b. Streets, 01' portions of streets, may be required by County for future dedication where the immediate opening and Improvement is not required, but where it is necessary to influre that the County can later accept dedication when said streets become needed for the further development of the area or adjacent areas. c.
