Mrs. Maxine Smith appeared with request for "'Trailor Park" signs for Lake Leland, and also signs li.miting
the speed,of boats on the lake. Stated people are continually driving in asking directions to the parking area.
She feels it is dangerous to allow water skiing and racing because of the swimmers and iiohermen. Board
concurs that size of boat motors should be limited. Chairman O'Meara will check with the Sportsmen Club.
Commissioners approved and signed July bills to be paid in August, as follows: see page bottom of 154.

Mr. Bob Murdock and Mr. Jim Matteson, Consulting Engineers from Futrell Inc. appeat"ed re: Solid Waste
Management. Informed Boa,rd of history of ,company and their qualificatio\1s. Said the State will allocate up
to 75% and county may pay balance with cash or "in kind" service. Stated that agreement was necessary
between the county and city. Chairman O'Meara stated the county needed e. "price" to go by due to two co~-
panies o.ffering consulting servtces. Futrell will present a proposal to the county with,estima.te of cost, and
guideline.

Noel Adams, Engineer from Pacific Rim, appeared re: Stcdium Roof for Memorial Field. Presented plans
for Board's'approval. Chairman O'Meara advised extension of roof and wings on sides. Mr. Adams stated
he would make the adjustments and return plans to the Engineer's office by next Monday.
Motion by Commissioner ~elly, second by Chairman O'Meara to approve minutes of last meeting.
Commissioners signed contract with Ralph Wells for work on Hoh River Road, Co. Rd. No. 216.
Notice from Teamsters Local No. 589 to reopen ,the contracts with the County Road Crew and the Sheriff's
Dept. for the purpose of discussing changes in wages and working conditions. No comment from the Board.

Letter from Don Morrison, District Sanitarian, re: Plat of Toandos Del Mar. Expresses conc(~rn with
proposal presented by Developer. States per lot fee for construction of sewage treatment plant cannot be
determined until plans have been approved by Health and Ecology Depts.; agrees that no building permits
should be issued prior to sewer installation, but recommends that no s.ewage disposal permits be, 'i86~.. Also
recommends the developers. obtain written approval of the sewage disposal. plans by the two State departments
and that water is available in satisfactory quantities from an approved source, before considering further
proposals.
Board received copy of notice from State Liquor Board of disapproval of application from Class E license from
Port Ludlow Marina.
