Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Commissioner Kelly for tentative approv.al. . O'Meara with all members present. . . . Mr. William Breitw~g appeared re: Lease of property at Ind.ian Island. He was infortned by the Board that Henry Hajek, Na..'al Real Estate Division, phoned on Sept. 23rd to notify that all necessary legal approval of lease had been granted in Washington D. C., and Commissioners should have papers within two to three weeks. Mr. Breitweg was asked to accompany the Board on inspection of the property upon arrival of lease. Mike Ragon, Dept. <;>f Game, appeared re: Parks ""'aintenance Man. Stated he wanted to go on record with a request for a fun-time man to maintain the county parks. He was informed by the Board that a Parks man was proposed in the 172 Budget. Secret ballot vote for Treasurer wa.s taken by the Board. Mrs. Lillian Jaco.bsen received two votes and Joseph H. Dunlap received one vote. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, that unanimous ba.Hot be cast for Mrs. Jacobsen to replace retiring Arthur Swanson, as Treasurer. Seconded by Commissioner Kelly. Motion by Com'liissioner Kelly, second by Commissioner Huntingford to "l-ccept minutes of last meeting. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by CornmissiOl'ler Kelly to approve and sign Resolution No. 32-71, Intent to establish road, as follows: INTENT TO ESTABLISH COUNTY ROAD RESOLUTION NO. ~2-71 WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners that it is in the public interest to maintain as a part of the County Road system: The North forty (40) feet of that portio!'). of the Southeast quarter of Section 31, Township 27 North, Range 1 of W<Jst W. M. lying east of County Road No. 20. and in comtemplation of the language of Statute R. C. W. 36.81.010, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, this Boa,rd of County Commissioners does now declare its intention to establish said road, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby directed to examine said road and report his opinion as to whether this road is practicable, as to the necessity of the road, as to the proper terminal points, general course and length thereof.; and all other [acts, matters and things which will be of importance to the Board; and that such r.eport be filed .~s soon as possible.
