Commissioner's Proceedings Vol. P 187 J".I!I INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR It is specifically understood and agreed that in the performance of sltid work, the Contractor shall have, and at all times retain, the status of an Independent Contractor, and said Contractor shall for no purpose be deemed or taken as an employee or agent of Joffefson Count~', Washington. PAYMENT A limited budget of $4,500.00 has been allocatl3d for the Contractor to perform Items 1 through 10. Seventy percent (70%) of the contract to be completed by June 1, 1972, and the remainder thirty percent (30%) of the contract to be completed by December 15, 1972, Accc'..lntable records will be kept by Contractor of time spent on projects and work done. Approximately 45 field and office days will be spent on the project. The contractor for himself and for his successors and assigns, dOGS hereby agree to the full performance of all covenants herein contained upon the part of tha Contractor. ,"" The Contractor agrees that the person appointed 01' elected as County Assessor shall decide as to the meaning and intent of any portion of the spec1ficat ions where the same may be found ambiguous, qbscure, or in dispute, and said Assessor shall have the right to correct any errors or omissions therein when such corrections are necessary to the proper fulfillment of the intention of said specifications. No claim for extra work will be allowed or considered unless such extra work has been previously ordered in writing by the Employer. It is further provided that no liability shall attach to the County by reason of entering into this agreement, except as expressly provided herein. This Agreement shall be effective January 2, 1972 to December 31, 1972, with the first half of the contract to be finished by June 1, 1972, and the second half by December 1, 1972.
