Board received Summons to appear for Claim for Damages re: Daniel R. McBride, et ux, Dennis R. McBride,
et ux, Dennis R. McBride as Guardian Ad Litem for Mark Allen, McBride and Clayton Roy McBride - Plaintiffs
vs. Gary D. Jensen, et ux, George Olson, et ux, and Jefferson County - Defendants. Copies of Summons will
be forwarded to Pros. Attny. Daly and Joe Welch Ins.
Board received Memorandum Opinion for the Case of Jefferson County, Petitioner, vs. G. Brian Egan, et ux,
Respondents. Decision was made in behalf of Egan. Memorandum Opinion states "Under all facts and circum-
stances the petition for condemnation is denied and the county is directed to correct its records to show that
there is no platting and no roads on the Egan property,"

Baseball. Meeting is for purpose of scheduling games for 1972 season. Partial schedule set up. Copy of I
complete final schedule will be forwarded to Engineer B e-cker.
Request from Mr. & Mrs. Walter Jordan for vacation of county road running through the SW1/4 of the SW1!4 of
the SE 1/4 of Sec. 6, T. 30N., R.IWWM, lying Westerly of Cape George 28th Street Extension Road. Letter
will be sent to petitioner explaining necessary procedures for vacation of roadway.
Mr. John Green appeared to request perm is sion to place a cigarette machine in the mainhall of the courthouse.
Mr. Green already has a candy machine in the courthouse. Contract is to be drawn up giving the county 10%
all candy and lie:: per pack on all cigarettes sold in the courthouse by Mr. Green.

Copy of letter to Robert George Haley, Pleasant Harbor Cafe, from Liquor Control Board re: Withdrawal
of application for CD license.
LeUer from U.S. Dept. of Commerce stating Jefferson County is deSignated as a redevelopment area
under the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965, as of March 10, 1972,
Notice from Dept. of Army to advise of changes in the numbering of public notices.
Notice from Dept. of Revenue of State Hearing on property tax reductions set for Clallam County.
Gas Tax Allocation Percentages to counties, 1972-1973, from State Highway Department.
Letter and Senate Bills 29 & 298, relating to alcoholism, from E.A. Kenealy, Supervisor, Alcoholism
Section, Olympia.

10:OOa.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman A.M,O'Meara with Commissioner George Huntingford present
and Commissioner Walter A. Kelly absent.
Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Chairman 0' Meara to approve minutes of March 13th, meeting
as, presented.
Attny. Glen Abraham appeared ra: Vacation of Moen Road. Question as to whether road can be legally vacated
due to property leading to-the water, but there is approximately ISO' bluff to tidelands. Letter will be written
to the Department of Ecology requesting their opinion.
Hp.ariiig tor Shoreline Management Permits from:
1) Department of Natural Resources, Application No.IO, to construct a bridge over Winfield Creek, Queets.
Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Chairman O'Meara to approve and sign permit.
2) Mayr Eros. Logging Co. ,Inc., Application No.Il, to construct a bridge over Matheny Creek, Queets.
Motion by Commissioner HunUngford, second by Chairman O'Meara to approve and sign permit.
Engineer Becker informed the Board there is a need to apply for one years advance for Federal FAS Funds for
the County Road Dept. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Chairman O'Meara for Engineer Becker
to submit request. Request will be submitted to the County Commissioners Association which in turn w111 sub-
mit a request to the State Highway Commission. Letter and Resolution will be sent to Washington State Assoc.
of Counttes by Engineer Becker for their approval and adoption.
Enginoer Becker requosted a new hearing be Rcheduled for Log Cabin Inn Tracts, owned by A.C . Grady and
Almas!. Motion by Commissioner Hunt:lngford, secorld by Chairman'O'Meara to set hearing date for April 10th.

Hunt1ngford, agreeing that Jefferson County ",,111 pay the State of Washington Parks and Recreation Commission
the amount of $6,580 to operate a la-boy work crew for a period of eight weeks. Auditor Betty Temple Signed
Agreement for Commissioner Kelly.
Request for building permit extension from Herbert T, Deck. It is the Board I s decision that since Mr. Beck ha s
started construction and only needs to complete building, an extension ia not required.
