Board received certified true copy of an Order of the Board of Tax Appeal:; relating to Eleanor C. Robb. Property
valuation was reduced by the State Board on all three petitions.
Board received request for petition to Board of Equalization from James D. Dubuar. Petitions will be mailed with
instructions.

Notice from the Department of Ecology re: Ocean Systems. Forty-five day review period by the Department
of Ecology and theAttny. General's Office for Shorelines Management Permit will terminate on April 7, 1972.
Notice from State Liquor Board advising that license issued to Randolph Holland Barrett d/b/a Discovery
Bay Lodge, has been amended for coutinued operations from April 1,1972 through June 30,1972, inclusive.
Notice. from Department of Revenue ra: Forest Land values; Amemded rules adopted elinimating 10% dis-
count.
Questionnaire from Rural and Urban Roads, for names and addresses of County Administrative Officials.
Form will be filled out and returned.
Letter from Urban Arterial Board ra: Urban Arterial Bo-:ud Design Standards, and notice of meeting on Thurs-.
day, April 20th.
Agenda for Intermediate School District No. 114 Board meeting on April 13th.

Auditor, Betty Temple, informed Board that Mr. Ray Isla, Agricultural Agent for Jefferson County, will be medi-
cally retired this month. Official notice should be received by April 24th.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

10:00a.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman A.M.O'Mearu with all members present.

Hearing for Vacation of Old West Leland Road, Co. Hd. No. 30-'10.85. Mr. Roy Ridderbush and Mr. George
Nicholes appeared in favor of vacation. !vIr. Lloyd Tooker, prevIously opposed to vacation, phoned to inform
the Board that he no longer has any objection to vacation of the road. Board received letter from Eng. Becker
advising of vacation. Motion by Commissioner Kelly, second by Chairman O'Meara to vacate Old West Leland
Road. Unanimous by Board.
Motion by CommissJoner Kelly to approve minutes of April 10th. meeting. Seconded by Chairman 0' Meara.
Unanimous by Board.

Commissioners and Auditor counted cash in the Treasurer's Office as per RCW 36.22 & 32.
Mrs. Eva Taylor appeared re: Trails for horses along all county roads.' Requested that they be granted permission
to use part of road right-a'-ways for trails and on future road construction, to leave a portion of right-a-ways for
use as trailes. Chairman 0' Meara advised that law had to be clarified, as of now, separate trails are required
for bikes, horses and pedestrians. Mrs. Taylor presented letter from "High County Horsemen" requesting trails
and suggested as a pilot program on existing roads, a trail along sIde county highways between Port Townsend
and Chima cum .
Mr. & Mrs. Gus Oeinck appeared to observe meeting.
Mr. Gus Lindquist appec.lreci concerning his property at North Beach. A large section of the bank has fallen away
and needs to be rip-rapped. County owns beach in front of his proporty. Requests permission to use rocks off
the beach for bracing of bank and building a bulkhead. Engineer Becker advised that he should contact the Depart-
ment of Fisheries to make sure they do not dissappmve. Construction would be exempt from Shorelines Manage-
ment Permit. Permis sion granted by the Board.

missionM Hunttngford and second by Commissioner Kelly. Unanimous by Board.
Motion by Commissioner Hunting ford , second by Commissioner Kelly to approve and Sign Call for Bids for the
improvement of 1.23 miles of the Dosewli.llips Co.Rd.No. 70, for May 1st., at 10:00a.m., as follows. Unanimous.

of WaShington, will receive sealed bids up untH the hour l')f 10:OOa.m. Monday, May 1,1972, at the office of
the County Auditor, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington I to be opened and publioly read at a meeting of the
County Commissioners to be held on that date for the improvement of 1.23 miles of the Dosewall1ps County road,
No.70, by grading, draining I surfacing and other work aD set forth in the plans and speoifications for C.R.P.344..
Major items of work will be: 79.200 cu .l,ds. Roadway Exoavation, 5.400 Units Haul and 4,500 cu. .
yds. Gravel Rase, Clase "B",

Each bid shall be in ~ccordance with the plans and spec1ficat1/Jml and other contract documents now
on file with the County Engineer, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, where copies may be obtaiMd by de-
pOSiting $5.00 for each set. Deposit will be refunded if plans are I'eturned in good condition within 10 days elf tel'
