Each bid shall be accompanied by cash, certified check or bid bond payable to the Treasurer
of Jefferson County in the sum of 5% of the amount bid; to be forfeited to Jefferson County by the successful
bidder if he fails to enter into contract and to file an acceptable Surety Bond in the sum of 100% of the contract
price within 20 days after the award.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive
all informalities in the bidding.

Commissioners inspected the jail cells as per RCW 36.63.110.
Marge Johnson. Director, Council on Alcoholism, appeared re: Budget to date; latest bills for approval; and
Advising that CAP will be the "Prime Contractor" for the Council's funding.
A.C. Grady, Attny, appeared Re: Log Cabin Inn Tracts. He was unable to attend Preliminary Hearing for Plat
last Monday and inquired as to what requirements or restrictions had been imposed by the Board, other than
health and platting regulations. He was informed that property line dispute had to be settled before plat could
be approved.

Sheriff Hansen presented a list of surplus vehicles which the Department has no further use, and are ready for
public sale. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Commissioner Kelly to put cars up for public
auction. Unanimous by Board. Lists will also be presented from the Assessor's Office and the Engineer's
Office. Auction date will be set when all lists are received.
Ruth and Mable Heinzinger appeared to ask the Commissioners how many mills over which they have jurisdiction.
Commissioner explained they have 81/2 mills for county roods and Current Expense, and all the rest go to
schools, Port, etc. which are voted on by the public.

Board received Public Notice NO. 071-0YB-I-000382, Crown Zellerbach Corp., re: Repair and preservation of
existing pilings, anchor buoys, dolphins and floats. Letter will be written of Boards approval and exemption of
Shorelines Management Permit.
Board received two pre-application notification forms from the Olympic Regional Planning Council: 1) Clallam
County Public Works Dept. for county road project, and 2) Jefferson County CAC for educational program for
low income participants; Notice will be sent of Board's approval.
Board reviewed the follOWing without comment:
Copy of letter to the Assessor's Office from George R. Nordby re: Property revaluation. Real
Property Petition and letter of instruction will be sent to Mr,. Nordby so that he may appear before the Board of
Equalization.
Real Property Petition No.1, from S.E. Stageberg, received for the 1972 Board of Equalization.
