Board received three notices from the Corps of Engineers regarding:
1) Public Notice No. 071-0i'B-I-000452, Washington State Department of Fisheries (Shellfish
lab. at Whitney Point) regarding: Installation of a mooring bouy. They will be advised that a Shore-
lines Management application is necessary.
2) Public Notice No. 071-0YB-l-000604, Evergreen Environmental Development Corp, regard..
ing: Installation of outfall sanitary sewer and excavation of 300 cubic yards of sand and silt. They
will be notified that a Shorelines Management Permit is pending and the Hearing is tentively set for
the 22nd of May.
3) Public Notice No. 071-0YB-I-000394, Department of Interior, Bureau of Sports Fisheries &
Wildlife, regarding: Construction of a concrete fish trap and placement of approximately 75 cubic
yards of riprap. All Federal Agencies are exempt from Shorelines Management rules and regulations.
Engineer Becker presented plans for the fishing floats for lake Leland. All concur that floats should be 24'
out (3 sections) and 32' across (4 sections), in the form of aT. They will be located on the right side of
the boat launching ramp.
The Board reviewed the. follOWing wi thout comment:
Proposal by the Department of Game to acquire a site for boat launching on the Bogachiel River
in Clallam County, from the Olympic Regional Planning Council.
Letter and information concerning Federal Revenue Sharing from Julia Butler Hansen, U.S. Rep-
resentative.
Letter from the Mayor of Port Angeles proclaiming the week of May 15th - 19th as "Hire Veteran
Week".
Census Information Release No.4. 1970 census revisions to populations of cities, towns, coun-
ties and the State of Washington.
County trust land fee title land transmittal of funds amounting to $702.52, interest earned on
monies in Department of Natural Resources Suspense Fund for Jefferson County.
Letter from the Washington State Association of Counties requesting that County employees be
asked to aid in asking our federal congressional delegation for an affirmative vote on Revenue Shar-
ing, HR 11950.
Notice from the DI3partment of Revenue of local sales tax disbursements for April, 1972.
Clallam and Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service Bulletin.
Notice of Training Workshop in Community Betterment through Use of Federal Resources for lo-
cal Government.
There being no further bu:::iness before the Board. the meeting was adjourned.

Today lIas been classified as llIw Day, whereas certain students from all county highschools are designated
as elected officials to sit in, and/or perfol'm the duties of County and City government. Sitting in with the
Board of Commissionors are: Jim Parker, Port To...msend High School, District No.1, for Chairman O'Meara;
Barry Brown, Chimacum High School, District No.2, for Commissioner Huntingford; and Steve Daniels, Quil-
cane High School, District No.3, for Commissioner Kelly.

bids for eiTOlS. Unanimous. After ohecking, Engineer Beoker returned to advise that Seleot Construction
Co., from Seattle, tota Is ware oorre()t and had submitted the low bid of $ 66,800. Motion by Commiss 10ner
Huntingford, second by Commissioner Kelly to award bid to Seleot Construotion Co. Unanimous. Error was
found ~n the total submitted by Ed's Bulldozing and oorreoted to $76,404.26. Seleot Construction Co. will
be notified by the Engineer's Offioe.
