RESOLUTION NO. 18-72 IT APPEARS TO THE BOARD OF JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that the Jefferson County Fair RQvolving Fund does not have sufficient cash on hand to pay all the expenses (premiums) of the Fair until " their allocation from tho State F~ir Fund ia received, and BE IT RESOLVED under authority vested by RCW 36.37.040, the County Treasurer is employed to tranafer funds from the Current Expense Fund of the County to the Jefferson County Fair Revolving Fund, and IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Count~~ Treasurer transfer $8,000 to the County Fair Revolving Fund and when the allocation from the State Fair Fund is received, the Treasurer shall first deduct from such remittance the money heretofore transfered in the sum of $8,000.00 and credit the same to the Current Expense Fund. Member Engineer Becker requested permission to Call for Bids for construction of Alder and Maple 'Creek bridges to be opened and read the 26th. day of June at 10:00a.m. Permission granted and Bid Call signed. Assessor, Jim Sofie presented letter of reSignation, effective July I, 1972. Stated he was doing so upon the advice of his phye.ician. Requested permission to change staff deSignation and salary for Mr. Lloyd Hansen, Appraiser., .- due to his added responsibility. Change would be from Chief Appraiser I Real Property, at $7,200.00 per year to Chief Deputy Assessor at $7,500.00 per year. Permission granted by the Board. Motion by Commissioner Huntingfolod, second by Commissioner Kelly to accept resignation. Unanimous by Board. Motion by Commissioner Kelly to hire members for 1972 Board of Equalization. After discussion among the Board members, the motion was withdrawn due to there being insufficient funds in the budget. Commissioners will serve on the Board of Equalization. June meeting set for the 12th. Board reviewed letter and ordinance relating to Senate Bill 298 (funding of County1s Council on Alcoholism) from Mayor, Joseph B. Steve. Mr. Byron Ruby appeared, for himself and several other persons, re: Mosquito problem in the Duckabush Park. Requests oounty to spray in that area because the problem is so bad. Asked the Board to look into matter to I see what can be done. Board will consult with Randall Durant, District Sanitarian, and notify Mr. Ruby. Auditor, Betty 'l'emple discussed the amount of money county is to receive from Revenue Sharing. Money is disbur9sd on populaUon and county's figuros have been lowered by the Office of Program Planning and Fiscal Management. She advised Board to write lettor of protest to have county listed for correct population count due to state allooationa forqas tal<, liquor pI'orations, stc. Motion by Commissioner Huntln~ford, second by Commissioner Kelly to approve minutes of la at meeting. Unani- mous by Board. Mr. & Mra. Loyd M. Bell, from Paradise Bay, appoared re: Request for oiling of Shore Drive in Paradise Bay Eatatoil. Presented petition to the Board with 31 signatures. Stated the dust is suoh a tremendous problem that something has to be done, and .they do not wish to have the road widened. Engineer Beoker advised that road does not have good enough baSI) for olUng. Bonrd informed that Engineer Booker will again inspeot the road and if thero is It good onough bose, road can be oiled. Mr. Charlos Gunatone (!,ppoared ra: Property talC 13valuations. He has roquested 100 petitions to the Board of Equalization. Board approved appHc.ation from OlympIo Regional Planning Counoil for Port of Port Angeles for their proposed project of Consumptiol1/Finanolno Study for Port Amgeles Publio Pier and Community Center.
