BEFORE THE BOARD OF JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, STATE OF WASHINGTON.
In the matter of a proposed County Road
Resolution to construct Maple Creek Bridge
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is their intention to construct a
bridge over Maple Creek.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT for the foregoing proper county road purpose there is hereby appropriated sums
in the following detail:

The county road purpose herein descr ibed is HEREBY DECIARED to be a public necessity and the County Road
EngIneer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED TO report and proceed thereon as by law provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this purpose be performed by Contract in accordance with the Standard Road and
Bridge Specifications of the State of Washington as adopted by this Board.

Board approved three applications from the Olympic Regional Planning Council:
(1) Port of Port Townsend for proposed Water and Sewer Project.
(2) Army Corps of Engineers for proposed Schedule of ongoing and upcoming Environmental Statements.
(3) Clallam-Jefferson County Community Action Council proposed Headstart Program.
Board rec~ived Findings of Fact and Order Renewing Variance for Jefferson County. Renewal is granted upon the
condition that the county will make a written progress report every 90 days, and if the county should fail to
make reports, the variance is subject to immediate revocation.
Board received two letters of request, from Elizabeth Barlow and Florence M. Brandeberry, for Board of Equali-
zation, to hold Hl:!arings in the West end of the County. Commissioners stated hearings will be scheduled for
the West end shouXd they be warranted.
Upon returning from lunch, the Beard informed they luid inspected the road and boat ramp at Paradise Bay Estates.
Ramp was found to be in vary poor oondidon. They also inspected the boat ramp at Shine, and the new county
shop building.

Assf313sor, Jim Sofiā¬) , presented the Treasurer's Roll reporting manifest errors, taxes uncollectable on the
1972 Rolls, and the request for correction in accordance with provisions of RCW 84.56.400. Motion by Com-
missioll,er Huntingford, aecond by Commissioner Kelly to correct the manifest errors and for the list to be added
to tho 1972 tax rolls due to omitted assessments. Unanimcus by Board.
The Board and Clerk, for 1972, were sworn in by Mr. Sofie and Commissioner O'Meara was elected Chair-
man. Firat meeting of tho Board will be held July 3rd. at 1:30p.m.
