Morrison, Olympic Health District, and copy of letter written to State Parks & Recreation Commission re: Camping and other use of the beaches north of the Hood Canal Bridge in Jefferson County. He recommends that overnight camping or parking be prohibited due to lack of necessary water and sewer facilities, and the area be so posted. i: Board received packet from the Washington Local Government Personnel Institute re: 1972 Pub~ic Agency Salary Survey. Packet will be reviewed and information gathered before information is transmitted to Olympia. The following correspondence was reviewed without comment~ Public Notice No. 071-0YB-l-000760, from Corps of Army Engineers, re: Repair of existing public ramp at Hicks County Park. Notice of application fpr Class A,C,E,F, liquor license and transfer of license from Patricia M. Guthrie to Gale W. Frary d/b/a Curley's Place. Notice from the Department of Revenue re: Open Space Law, Legislative changes proposed. Notice from Employer'S Representative Association Inc. re: Workman's Compensation and I,ndustrial Safety. Olympic Air Poll'Jtion Control Authority Activity Report for May 1972. ' There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned. 11#1##################### June 19, 1972 lO:OOa.m. Meeting called to order by Commissioner George Hunting'jord with Commissioner Walter A, Kelly present and Chairman A.M.O'Meara absent due to the necessity of attending another meeting. Hearing for Shoreline Management Permit, submitted by the County, for floats on Lake Leland. Motion by Com- missioner Huntingford to approve permit, second by Commissioner Kelly. Motion by Commissioner Hunting ford , second by Commissioner Kelly to set Hearing date for Six Year Road Pro- gram for July 3, 1972, at 11:00a.m. Motion by Commissioner Kelly, second by Commissioner Huntingford to approve minutes of June 12th. meeting. Motion by Commissioner Kelly, second by Commissioner Huntingford to repair present boat ramp at Shine. Eva Taylor, Chairman of the Planning Commission appeared to advise the Board of progress on the Camper and Trailer Ordinance. Harry Holloway III, Attny. for Evergreen',En\tironmental Corp, appeared to present a letter re: Acquisition Agree- ment" The Board decided they would delay any decision until the follOWing meeting. Mr. H. C. Reuter presented a letter of complaint to the Board. He feels, as a tax payer, the commissioners shouldn't agree to the Evergreen (Toandos Del Mar) agreement contract. No comment was made by the Board at this time, Engineer Becker brought a letter before the Board which he had received on the road problem for Triton Cove Estates and Marshall Addition. Mr. Becker said in his reply, there will also be a report on the county's road planning on this problem. Sheriff, Robert L. Hansen, appeared before the Board and reported on the Jail. Also pointed out that the Depart- ment of Social and Health Services said the overall impression of the faCility was, "This jail should be restored for its historical value. However, its age and deSign do not meet with present day standards for incarceration" . No comment was made by the Sheriff.
