Mr. C.john Nelson appeared re: Revaluation of his property. Feels his property cannot be described as farm
land due to land being marshy and covered with water the largest part of the year. He was given petitions to
the Board of Equalization with instructions fDr filing.
Steve Roy, Jr. Probation Officer, appeared to report on Boys Work Program. Stated raises in salary for boys,
from $5 to $10 a day, has been a great incentative and there has not been the drop-out problem of previous
years. Invited Board to observe work crew at their earliest convenience. Requests permission to include QuU-
cene area in program. Permission granted by Board.
Letter from Warren W. Bell re: Shorelines Management Permit. Emergency repairs to existing bulkhead is pro-
posed project. It is the considered opinion of the Board that project is exempt from permit system. Notice will
be forwarded.
Mrs. Wi~liam Logue appeared to request permission to replace two septic tanks with one, on her property at
Becket Point. Stated the Health Department has denied her permission. Chairman O'Meara will check with the
Health Department and advise.
Mr. Roger French, City Engineer, appeared re: Request for furniture for City Hall. Chairman O'Meara consulted:
with Auditor, Betty' Temple, and infonned that county will be submitting application for funding to renovate the '
third floor of the courthouse and consequently all furnit]JTe will be needed.
Request from Port of Port Townsend for appointment of one person to serve on the Airport Master Plan Study Site
Selection Committee. Motion by Commissioner Huntingforc1, second by Commissioner Kelly for Chairman 0' Meara
to serve on said committee. Appointment accepted by 0' Meara.
Notification from Department of Social & Health Services that $2500.00 should be used as a figure for planning
and coordination functions for the budget for 1973. Allotment for remaining six months of 1972 w1l1 be $1250.00.,
